Even the MFT has a 2,000 lb rating. The tailgate is plenty strong for loading a motorcycle.

@massram21, don't worry about it. Your tailgate is rated to support nearly 3x the weight of your bike.

I've loaded my ATV and snowmobiles into the truckbed using ramps. It is plenty strong. If you have any concerns, you can upgrade the tailgate cables. I haven't.

It is strong enough, I was loading Honda rubicon in the 6’4” bed. As I was unloading friends were talking and I was not paying attention, front tire barely got of ramp and when I went to pull up in 4wd the tire pulled off one side of the plastic that is on top of tailgate, broke 3 clips that easy. I am searching for something stonger for this flimsy trim piece!
