Toyo open country r/t trail tires

Happy New Year!

I wanted to know if anyone has tried these new hybrid tires yet? I've recently purchased and driven on Yokohama geolander g003's mt's for 4 weeks but due to the heavy rain here in SoCal lately have determined Yokohama mt's aren't for me due to slipping and will be getting the Toyo's so hoping someone has good feedback and experience. If so, I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Oh, these are for 2020 Rebel and running 295-70r18. Here is a pic of current Yokohama on my Rebel and the new Toyo ordered.

Here are the new Toyo RT Trail tires which replaced Yokohama g003 mt's. I switched to these as I thought the Yokohamas rode a tad to rough on the highway and slippage on the recent rain soaked streets of LA.

The Toyos ride so much smoother and quieter for my liking although the Yokohamas did give a ton of traction offroad.

I had Toyo ATII‘s on my Tacoma and loved them. They really kept their traction, weren’t loud at all, just enough sidewall tread. I’ll be looking at these when it’s time to get new tires for my Ram.

I think you may like them. I'm impressed with the traction in the dirt, now just waiting for some more rain here to see how they handle it.

What size Toyos did you go with? Is it the same 295/70R18 as your Yokohamas? I’m looking at doing those same Methods but torn between 35s or the 295s

Yes, I did go with the same size, 295/70R18. I went this size to save a few pounds vs's the 35's although they would have probably looked a little better!
