I've been DE shaving for a couple of years now, and thought I’d start a thread and see if anyone else enjoys it too.

I bought so much when I started, I still have pucks I haven't used. I started with a cheap Chinese TTO razor from Claire's Beauty store, then quickly upgraded to a RazoRock Mission 3-piece razor. Then I found some razors at swap meets, pawn shops, antique shops, online, etc. I also have a Birdie Bowl for bowl lathering when I plan on doing a few passes.

My favorite brush so far has been the Omega #10048 boar brush. I got a synthetic RazoRock brush, which is a nod to the Rubberset 400. I picked up 200 Gillette 4 Thin Blades from a guy locally, and then I scored big time by finding a Rubberset 400 #3 shaving brush.

Don't shave my face, just my head. I use a HeadBlade Moto and through some Google searches found cheaper replacement blades for it that are the same as what HeadBlade uses, but not the HeadBlade branded package.

I feel like I’m a beginner to the game. I had issues with razor burn/rash from disposables and the search led me down a rabbit hole of multi-hundred dollar razors and brushes. I wasn’t ready to invest in that yet, so I ended up with a Rockwell 6C. I have a short beard and keep my neck clean on plate #6 (most aggressive). I like it so much that I haven’t felt a need to get another, although your collection gives me the itch to. The brush is a natural bristle amazon special. I also love feather blades, so I’ve settled with those.

But since the pandemic been either wearing a full beard or stubble after knocking it off with my electric clippers.

I have been using a safety razor for years now. I just keep the way out of date handlebars, so shaving face and head is a lot of real-estate when you are a big guy. Chewing through the lubricated 5 blade whirlygig razors was expensive.

I use a Parker L29. It is well weighted and holds firm without loosening up like some razors do. Shark Super Chrome blades do the trick and are affordable.

I like a natural Badger hair brush. The one in the set I pictured last is gone and I have a black one now. I will probably look for a softer one for Christmas.

Taconic Eucalyptus Mint soap is pretty nice. Decent lather, does not dry my skin out and I can't stand the stink of hippie sandalwood that most soaps have. This goes in an Austrian stainless cup.

Follow that with a little wax and oil to keep the handlebars conditioned and a splash of Proraso, I am ready for the morning.

I have a straight that takes disposable blades. The last time I tried using it I though my wife was going to call 911. I looked like I just went 5 rounds in the octagon.

I would like a real straight but I would not find the time to care for it. I have needed to sharpen my Damascus folder for a couple months now.

I started out with straight and still have a couple stored away, haven't used them in a long time. Went double for awhile, then switched to injector and never looked back. Lighter, safer, less blade waste, get into tighter spaces, pinnacle of razor technology IMO. Have a couple Shicks and Gilettes that I trade off.

I had to go calm my money clip down before it went into cardiac arrest thinking of spending that much on razor blades.

I have my grandfathers straight razor and the box it came in, but I don’t know too much of the history on it. I’m not sure enough in my capabilities to try and strop and use it either!

Nice! I haven’t heard of that soap. My “go to” eucalyptus soap is the Yeti Snot I have. Man that will wake you up in the morning!

Yep DE shaving is sort of a throwback. I figured if I was going to do something almost every day I may as well enjoy it and not go into debt from the 5 and 6 bladed razors out there. I really needed to start because I was getting bad in grown hairs at the bottom of my neck where my dress shirts rubbed.

I’ve been looking for a good injector to add to my mix. I can find the blades pretty easily, but might need to hit my favorite antique stores for an injector.
