I didn't convert to a pickup because of the 2019 RAM, but the 2019 made me excited to get a truck instead of a bit resigned.

I'm loving it, though I got panicky when I thought a bag I had in the back might be rubbing on the sweet interior. May need to do a tonneau cover soon so I can store more travel gear in the bed even in inclement weather.

Hi first post here

Lived in TX for a long time but owning a truck never crossed my mind until the past several months. I always owned cars, mainly sportscars (current have a 15 Mustang GT Premium Perf Pack, 13 Viper GTS, 04 Acura TSX, 06 Lexus IS350. Me and bro decided getting another car isnt going to solve anything so we decided on a truck and the Ram Limited is on the top of my list. I've already been jaded on luxury brands lately because you can get the same good stuff in a non luxury brand, and plus the price is getting out of control. We are waiting for first year bugs to be worked out so I will be lurking in the meantime. It maybe a late 2019 or 2020 MY depending if theres any worthwhile 2020 changes (doubt it). If I were to get a Ram now it would be a Limited 4x4, eTorque Hemi, Level 1 Group, 33 gallon, 3.21, 20" wheels.

Being in Texas I have driven a bunch of trucks for this, that, and another... just not one of my own.

This truck is a reward to myself for the past 15+ years of my career.

The design and features of this build is everything I wanted in a Truck and I look forward to many upcoming trips and adventures in it.

Wish me luck on the wait !!!!
Congrats, and good luck!
Where in Texas are you? Which dealer did you buy from? Just curious.

Cheers,

I did. I was already to buy a Hyundai Genesis and started reading about the New 2019 Ram 1500 and was wow, wait a second. So happy I did.
Ditto! I was planning to upgrade from a Hyundai Azera to the Genesis G80 when I read about the DT back in the spring and decided to check it out. Happy with my choice!

I converted from a 14 Focus ST to the 2019 Big Horn. I just got tired of small cars been buying hatch backs for ever. I'm 6'4" and I havent really autoX'd in a long time so I figured it was time I got myself a vehicle I could actually sit up straight in and my knees didnt hit the steering wheel. Plus the utility, oh my god the utility, so nice.

I have never even considered a truck until I saw 19 RAM Limited. I have always driven foreign luxury SUVs and the RAM is my favorite vehicle I have ever owned. I'm putting it up against late model Range Rover Sport, BMW X5 and Lexus LX570. None of my friends and family believe I made the switch but my girlfriend and I are loving the Limited and it is the most luxurious interior I have owned. They put so much more thought into these trucks than the foreign SUVs when it comes to space and storage. My truck has been trouble free (bought it 3 weeks ago) and still love driving it everyday. I will probably never go back to anything else. I think you get a lot of value for your dollar with these trucks and the maintenance costs seem much more reasonable than the foreign makes.

I've never owned a full-sized truck. Previously had a Ridgeline (2010). I was looking at mid-sized trucks to replace my SUV, but was underwhelmed by the interiors and not willing to give up that much luxury. So, reluctantly I took a look at the Ford F150 and the Ram 1500. First one I looked at was the Ram and boy were my eyes happy to see how luxurious they were on the inside! I was even more impressed when I test drove one. I was surprised at how easy they were to drive and park (with all the help features).

I test drove the F150 since it seems to be the class leader. The ecoboost 6 cylinder engine was fast! I really liked how that drove. However, compared to the Ram, the interior was really dated and lacked that luxury I was looking for.

Went back and bought the Ram and have been super happy!

I had a truck over ten years ago so it had been a while. Almost bought a 2018 Ram Night Edition. However, I decided on a 2016 Scat Pack Challenger instead. Really enjoyed that car but found a solid deal on a new Ram and the rest is history. Such a nice truck!

We're keeping our Azera, but I missed my Tahoe and the Mercedes GL 450 just hasn't been an adequate replacement for the Tahoe. We're not Mercedes Benz people ;). I want to get back into a truck platform. I've been a Chevy guy my whole life, so I looked forward to the 2019 Silverado...and was greatly disappointed. The DT interior is nicer than our Mercedes, and it's a truck. Win Win.

Just need to find the Limited that fits our needs and is in inventory or actually arriving soon.

Me....owned SUVs for work the last 25 years. Last was a Jeep GC and went to test drive a new one. Test drove a silver loaded Laramie and was sold. Ordered a loaded Limited on 7/3… got it 10/4. Love it but miss my 30mpg EcoDiesel and full-time 4WD.

I'm coming from a 2010 Suzuki sx4 hatchback to a 19' ram 1500 bighorn. Pretty much total opposites and I absolutely love love it! Everything I ever wanted in a truck!

Always been a SUV guy. This 2019 Ram is my first truck. Thankfully it'd doesn't feel/drive like a typical truck. Pretty luxurious ride in my opinion.

I'm not a convert (2001 Dodge Ram 1500) BUT the 2019 pushed up my buying a new truck 1-2 years. Three test rides in a Ford F-150 and was sold immediately on the Ram. I usually stay away from new models.

I always drove sports sedans for the pleasure of driving. The last year or so of commuting in DC traffic (been dealing with the traffic my whole career) put the last nail in the coffin.

I'd always told myself that even though an Audi drives exactly the same at 2 mph on 495 as an old Honda Civic, it was still worth it for the occasional weekend romp or long road trip when you can drive the way those cars were built to be driven.

I'd been looking at SUVs and test drove a RAM 1500 after finding a few video reviews on youtube, and that was that.
