I just put in an order for another Ram yesterday, but if the Sierra still looks as good in a few years when I'm up for my next truck, it'll definitely be on the test drive list.

It's a definite improvement for the interior although I think the screen should be at the top of the center stack not below the vents so you don't have to look down. Would rather have a knob shifter then a center electronic shifter, so much space is lost in the center console by having that their. The steering wheel also looks to be carrier over and still to thin in my opinion.

Great looking truck. I’d consider this next time I am in the market.

I ended up getting out of my Ram after 6 months and into the new Denali Ultimate. I had a lot of regret on options I didn’t select (4X4 and diesel being the big ones) when ordering my Ram, so I went ahead and ordered the Denali Ultimate and have had it a little over a week now. I have no regrets about making the switch but there are still several things that were better in my Ram. The two biggest being the suspension and sound system (not that I thought it was amazing in Ram, but still better). I like Ram MFT more too. I really wanted SuperCruise and I am impressed with the tech.

Forgot this thread existed. Have had my ram for about 6 months now and no regrets switching from the Denali. Maybe when it comes time to replace this one GMC won't be lagging behind.

The old Denali is NOTHING like the revised 2022...night and day different! I had two Sierra Denali's before I bought my first RAM and they were both awesome and trouble-free. Went with the RAM solely because GM was so far behind in the interior design and amenities. The 2024 Sierra Denali Ultimate, Sierra AT4X and the Chevy ZR2 are on my short list in addition to the RAM when truck shopping the fall of 2023.

@PCHokie congrats my friend...beautiful truck and I still think the exterior of the Sierra's is far better looking than the RAM. I will miss the air suspension unless GM adds that to the 2024 model year.

I had three Denalis in row before I moved to a Ram, and would love to go back to one with a 6.2. I've spent some time in a 22 Ultimate. It's improved, but not enough to edge out the Ram if you ask me. And I'm comparing it to a Laramie.

But, that's just my opinion.

Thanks!

Agree about the exterior, I just think the Sierra looks “tougher”. I came to Ram from a 19 Sierra Denali and for the same reasons. Interior felt so dated and at that price point, it shouldn’t have been so bad. I am glad GM stepped up in that department. It didn’t hurt that CarMax paid me 2k less than I bought it for two years earlier and I got a good deal with Affiliate pricing (wish I knew about Mark Dodge at the time). I got the new Sierra with GM Supplier pricing too, so it wasn’t as painful as it could have been.

I now am looking forward to Ultra Cruise and to see what Ram does with driving assistance tech. Ultimately, that is likely what will decide who I go with in 2-3 years for next one.

I still think the Sierra looks better than my Ram and I much prefer GM's 6.2/10spd over Ram's 5.7/8spd. But I love my interior and the way it drives. And until a GM dealer out there wants to try and compete with Ram dealer discounts, I don't see myself going back. I bought mine six months ago off a lot for 12.5% below MSRP. Money talks.

It’s crazy how opinions differ. I was a life long gm guy. I had a new truck for the last three gens. And after the newest re design I ditched them for ram.

I think the ram zf trans is superior to the gm offerings.

I tried my best to try to find a GMC volume dealer like Mark Dodge, but was not successful. It was a struggle to even find one who would do GM Supplier pricing. While I did not get as good a deal as I got when I ordered my Ram, I still consider it a win getting this one 6% below MSRP. None of the dealers here in Austin would even talk MSRP to order this through them. I had to go a little over 100 miles to a small town dealership to get supplier pricing. Covert, I guess the biggest GMC dealer here in Austin are selling Sierra 1500 Elevations for 3k less than what I paid for this Denali Ultimate. Crazy times…

Laura Buick GMC is who I always used to talk my dealer down a bit. I think they're maybe the closest to Mark Dodge. No idea how the shortage has affected that.

The GMC would be my next choice if not a ram. thier are some things I don't like like the smaller 23 gallon fuel tank and the the seats are smaller on the GMC.

That’s nice. I know a lot of people don’t like GMC’s styling, but I love it. That new interior and a baby duramax make the truck a winner to me. I would definitely go for the denali ultimate.
Yes, it's amazing.

Damn trucks are getting too expensive for my blood. Would love a new Denali with the babymax engine though. I had my heart set on one, until they didn't want to give me anything for my trade. I'm not disappointed at all though, love my RAM.
Agreed with this! But can't get my eyes off them.
