Unpopular opinion(?): I like the 4th gen styling better than 5th gen

The answer is to get the best of both worlds, a 4.5 Gen. Better looking than all those mutts.

The 2500 does look great, I agree. But being stuck with some of the 4th gen features would suck for me - I really like the telescoping steering wheel since I'm 6'4" and sit far back and my arms are just not long enough :p

I prefer it over the 5th gen limited. The front looks too squished with its odd headlights.

But I think all the other 5th gen models look better than any previous ram.

Yeah halogens looked bad on both 4th and 5th gen 1500s, either have to get the projector headlights or in this case leds for the 5th gens

I feel so triggered. It's a 3500 HO. None of that wimpy stuff.

The lack of a telescoping wheel is probably the biggest gripe amongst the 4.5 Gen HD owners. The adjustable pedals help some. Headroom is also a problem for some tall torso guys. Then there's the obtrusive rearview camera module on the HD.

I could go on but I love my grandpa chrome* truck just the same. *Not only was NE not available when I ordered, not sure I could bring myself to deal with painted bumpers the way our roads are here, PPF or not.

First: I love my black 2020 Limited truck. It's as comfortable as a luxury car and has all the bells and whistles I could ask for. Everything works, and most of it works well. Many things in 5th gen truck make the drive more comfortable, such as telescoping steering wheel and the roomier back seat. I plan to drive it until the wheels fall off.

However....

Whenever I see our two trucks together, I prefer the 4th gen styling over the 5th gen. At first I assumed I just needed to get used to the new style. We have now owned the 2020 for almost three years and my opinion hasn't changed. With the 5th gen, Ram has gone a little too soft on the styling IMO. I like it a little more aggressive and the 4th gen struck the perfect compromise for me.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that, I know. But I'd still be interested to know what others here think?

You're wrong.

:)

Totally kidding! Beauty is, indeed, in the eye of the beholder. I loved the 4th gen styling when it came out, but seeing the 5th gen made me a believer.
