So, you're saying you would rather pay for the remote tailgate drop and get two cup holders? The bean counter that decided to delete one cup holder from the new trucks probably netted FCA a cool $6.5 million.

No, I want it all …. Lol

I bought the Limited model so I wouldn't have to mod as much. She's at 56k miles now and only has a few upgrades.
- Ceramic tint ($450),
- Mountain Top Aluminum bed cover ($150 Craigslist score),
- Bedslide 1500 ($600 Facebook Marketplace score),
- Paragoptics True Blue Ambient light kit ($399)
- BF Goodrich Advantage TA's, ($1100)
Haha...I was thinking that too. But I've already spent more on my Limited than I spent on my previous truck, which was a Laramie. And I'm not done yet 😁

I don’t want to think of everything I’ve done

Got to …. Gotta give a list to your insurance co in case, God forbid, your truck gets boosted or totalled …. The upcharge for coverage is minimal

true they will only cover what you have receipts for. Not sure what the upcharge is or if it’s worth it. I have to ask my brother how much it will cover as I thought I recall him saying it only covers a percentage as well.

No but if you know of anyone selling machine gun mounts let me know 😂. I already regret not getting ram boxes to put guns in.

Lomax bedcover $600 I believe, wasn’t much available when I bought the truck due to backorder typical pandemic Covid bs

Amp steps $1400

PPF and ceramic costing $2400 ish

Tint $600

Minor things like rubber bed mat, rambox dividers etc that didn’t cost a whole bunch

$2500 to $3000. It's the things I've put on then taken off that bug me a little, but you learn from your mistakes and tastes change over time. It's money well spent in the end

Upgrades kept:
1) Hellwig- $220
2) Bilstein 4600 rear shocks- $150
3) Mishimoto CC- $200
4) 33inch Defenders with Hypertech calibrator- $1400ish
5) VIAIR 400P air compressor- $230
6) Weathertech mudflaps- $?
7) Dynamat and noise cancelling foam- $?
8) DeeZee bed mat and tailgate shock- $150

Upgrades removed:
1) Maxtrac rear lowering springs-$200
2) Core 4x4 shortened rear end links- $100
3) Kenwood 3.5" dash speakers- $50
4) Weathertech underseat rear storage- $?

Biggest item by far has been the Leer topper for $2,800. Past that:

Spray in bedliner - $500
Side steps - $350
Mishimoto catch can -$200
Covercraft seat covers -$450

I like to remind my wife that my spending obsessions are healthy (truck gear, bikes, skis, camping equipment, snowmobile, etc) as a lot of them keep me outdoors in my happy place, and a lot of them we utilize as a family as well. Whenever I catch any grief I remind her that a lot of men spend money on drugs, strippers, booze, and gambling instead.

Whoa, the over $5k caught up quick lol should have figured as much from you truck nerds 🤭

Kind of surprised to see not that many people listing mufflers/exhaust, seemed to me like that was a pretty popular mod.

The factory exhaust honestly has a really nice sound. I was leaning towards leaving it but it's funny that you mentioned you had a Magnaflow cat-back cause that's exactly what I'm getting. Can't tell a whole lot from YouTube vids but every single aftermarket exhaust I listened to was either too loud, too crackly and/or high-pitched, or too both for my taste. But the Magna has the perfect tone, couldn't resist.

And I did not have any drone with the MF …. Don’t get me wrong, 1st start with the MF on put a damn big grin on my face !!! Stomping on it in parking decks is even better …. And a full throttle pass under a highway bridge when people are sleeping under there is just plain fun !!! But that was 10 years ago … Lol

I know exactly what you mean. My first car was a 2000 Mustang GT and one of the first things I did to it was put these big @$$ skull-themed side and hood decals all over it. Looked ridiculous. But I was 18 and thought it looked amazing! 😆

So I'm having fun with my very first truck right now but in 10+ years from now if I have a different one, I probably won't do anything to it at all.

scary to try to add it all up... not including Bed Utility Group and Power Running boards (options from factory), all in Canadian dollars...

PPF, Ceramic Coating, underspray, rust proofing: $3600
Fuel Assault Rims: $1600
Winter Tires (Hakkapeliitta): $1200
Truxedo Sentry Tonneau: $1100
Front Tow Hooks: $180
Carpet front mats for summer: $100
12" screen protector: $30

items on the wish list:
Upgraded rear sway bar
potentially Air bags for rear for towing
AMP bed extender
LED bar (Rough Country lower grill bar, maybe grill insert lights too)

For the life of me, somebody explain why I gotta order a $20 foam cup holder for the passenger side on a Laramie, but I can hit a button in the cab, and my tailgate comes down all by itself

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
any chance you know the part number for the foam cup holder? we came from a Ford and one of the first things my wife noticed was the passenger door didn't have a bottle holder...

I really don't want to add it up. But I would not be surprised that I'm close to $5k.

I hate you guys for making me spend money on my truck...lol.

P.s. said the same thing over on another forum about my charger scat pack. Only difference is that it took me 4 years to spend that on the charger. Only 3 months on the ram....lol
