Hi All. Just got a leveling kit installed RC 2.5" front 1.25" back, with fuel covert 18x9 +20 offset on 35x12.5x18 KO2 I find the front tires to close to the UCA. Thoughts ?

The +20 offset is throwing me off a bit, I thought most people who do levels with 35" and 18x9" wheels go with a -12 offset to push the wheel/tire further out.

When at full lock, going with a negative offset and pushing the tire out more does increase the chance of the tire hitting the outer side of the fender & liner, but moves it away from the UCAs giving you more clearance there.

If that's the case, you can get some wheel spacers to adjust it to where you want.

I was trying to keep flush with the fender. didn't want to go out to much. I think the rub line is caused when i turn to the max....

That makes sense, on a Rebel with fender flares, -12 makes it about flush, but it will stick out without them.

I would check with an alignment shop (or the shop that installed them) and see what they think, it could be close but fine functionally. If not, they may recommend a remedy with spacers or some other suspension change.

The shop told me it was tight but nothing to worry about. They've been in this business for a long time, still makes me nervous to see that. going the spacer route with a 1.5 would put me in a -18 i think.

Then I wouldn't worry, if it has the look you want and no performance issues noted while driving, then you should be fine.

I’d worry with that rub line already evident in your pictures. Having had a tire separate at high speed before it’s not something you want to experience. Any constant, or near constant rub will weaken the sidewall and lead to a high likelihood of a blowout. I’d recommend some spacers on your setup.

so what ever that rub was, its not there anymore. After spending a few days with it, we had snow and rain and i don't see marks on the tires. I went into walmart early this morning and did some extreme turning and still no rub.

I'm looking at getting spacers 1.25" from bora. This should give me a -11 offset.

If you like the current look but want a little extra space you can go to a 3/8” spacer without needing longer lug nuts. Bora makes them.

0 is the minimum. +20 is right around stock. If it is already a tight fit imagine needing to air down when off roading. -12 would be much better.

Alright, I ordered the UCA from rough country and got custom spacers from bora. 1.25 thick, 6x5.5 77.8 bore to 106.10 bore making my fuel rim hub centric and won't have to rely on the ring lol.

Is it a big deal to loose 1/4" on the threads ? Not sure if the rims came with any pockets behind them

UCA changed and a -18 offset
