Hello,
New to this site and I am looking for help deciding what size/type tires to put on my 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn. I currently have stock 20" chrome rims and I am looking at getting new tires and the Mopar 2" lift installed. I can't decide for the life of me what size tires I should get. I am debating on 275/65R20, 285/60R20 or 295/60R20. I am looking for a 33-34" tire but just want to make sure it looks like it fits well with the 2" Mopar lift. The 275/65 will be a bit cheaper, but I also don't want it to look like my truck skipped leg day. I am not a fan of the tires that stick over the wheel well so I would like to have them pretty much flush or maybe 1/2" out max. I've seen other trucks driving around with the look I am going for but I can never get close enough to see the tire size. I do 95% road driving but love the look of the A/T tires. With those sizes that give me the 33-34" size it bumps me up to a 10 ply tire which kind of sucks for gas mileage.

BFG K02 or Ridge Grappler or Recon Grappler?

Any help with pictures would be much appreciated. Thanks for the help!

I went through your process about this time last year for my 2019 Laramie. I had a lot of the same preferences. Little or no poke. Factory 20 rims. Was even looking at same tire brands. I looked at just about every truck a saw in parking lots. Biggest difference is i have a Readylift 2" leveling kit rather than the mopar lift, but looks should be similar. And i actually wanted a 10 ply rated tire. I debated on same sizes as you. Ultimately decided on BFG K02 in 285/60/20. The 285/65 was just too much rubber for my taste. Looked a little stuffed in the front wheel well. I didnt look too hard at 295 as i didnt want to risk rubbing on ucas. Same reason i took 305/55 off the list fairly early. 275/65 would probably have been my second choice.

I'll toss a few pix up later. I have a non-lifted ORG (so 1" above standard). I put on some Black Rhino Duggers with 0 offset. Factory wheel offset is +19mm, so my wheels push the rubber out by 19mm (3/4"). I put on Falken Wildpeak AT3W in 275/65 20. 10 ply tire, very quiet. My mileage dropped from ~28 to ~25. If that matters...

I do have very slight rub. I have aftermarket mudflaps (weathertech). The left front tire rubs, slightly, at full left-turn but not every time. Moreso when in reverse. I may just grind down some of the flap, or just wait for the tread to drop a bit with wear. Shrug.

Before I ordered the tires, I measured my clearance...at my passenger front wheel well. My driver side has the wheel ~1/4 to 1/2 inch further back in the wheel well. Oops.

ETA: here are the pix, not well sited or framed, just a couple quick pix.

Thanks a lot for the pics and response! Truck looks great! the 285 and 295 are $1 off in price per tire, but the 295''s weigh more and would effect gas mileage more and I would have to trim the mud flap to avoid rubbing. I do like your set up! Thanks again!

For whatever reason the 285/60s are more expensive than the 285/65 don't know if that's still the case but it was when I was buying

If you are keeping stock wheels and not going to run spacers, then you wont have to worry about the tires sticking out with any of your size options you are looking at. I think with the 2" lift, you will want to go with a 34" tire minimum. Here is my Built to Serve with just the 1.5" Bilstien 5100 front level and 276/65/20 Kenda Klever M/T tires. I haven't taken a tape measure to them, but should be a 34" tire based on the size. I can get better pics front front and rear to show how they look width wise. Oh, and I am running 1" rear and 3/4" front Bora wheel spacers.

Save yourself the money and go with 33/12.5/20 u may find these tires abit cheaper actually because they are alot more commonly made rather than a 295 and this comming from someone who works at tire shop, and as long as you got a positive offset or even you won't have any tire sticking out!!

I have 275/65/20 Nitto G2 Terra Grapplers. It kept me with an SL tire so they weight stayed down. Compared to stock wheel/tire weight, I actually shaved about 10lbs per corner. I dont have the off road package and have zero lift/level. The wheels however, are a -5 offset, which is about the equivalent to a 1" spacer with stock wheels. No rubbing anywhere.
