I really like how you can smell the leather inside of these trucks but for those of you who have had your trucks for longer periods of time. When did that amazing smell go away? I'm not sure if itll be short term or long term. I dont know if it's more of a novelty when you first get the truck and a few months later it's gone and the smell is just like a laramie.

The smell is going to go away. Honestly I dont smell it anymore but it might also be that im use to it and ive had it for almost 2 months now. If you really like that smell try a leather conditioner like Adams Leather or even chemical guys. If tried both personally and I like Adams better but to each their own.

I've bought mine in June, and still smells like the day I drove it off the lot (early June). Of course it will fade eventually, but it helps if you keep it clean, and don't allow takeout or leftovers inside the cab (my Fam already know that if it's a "smellable", they put it in the back). ;)

Awesome. Thank you guys. That's a fairly good amount of time. Plus, the nicer feeling leather. Probably go for the stretch of a Longhorn. Only time will tell.

Here's an update on mine. Still has the new smell after almost ten months (rolled off the line a year ago).

Some leather conditioner really brings out the leather smell after cleaning up the interior, if you do use your truck. Mine stopped smelling like leather very quickly, but I bought some CG leather kit that included a conditioner with leather fragrances and to me, it' was spot on perfect.

Mine faded over the winter, but a little warm sunshine is bringing it right back!

Just traded my 14 limited in, and the hardest thing to part with was the rich top grain leather smell. I kept the smell strong with chemical guys sprayable leather. Just wipe it down once every couple weeks to take the surface soil off and bring out the natural oil scent. Dries and leaves no residue and pulls dirt out too. Keeps the leather hydrated.

I sympathize. I use Griot’s leather conditioner, which also has a nice leather smell. My truck still smells wonderful even after 15 months.

I used the Griots in my V Coupe and I’ll continue to use it in my Limited, it really does keep the leather smell alive. What are y’all using on the dash?

I'll add one more option to clean and refresh your leather. Zaino's Z-9 Leather Soft Spray Cleaner and Z-10 Leather in a Bottle work great for cleaning and conditioning your leather and brings back the leather smell.

One more question, The Laramie leather/not leather seats have a fair bit of suede trim. What is the best way to clean the suede parts of the seats.

Jdginn, I had used the zaino z10 before and liked it, but the most recent bottle had a weird smell and left an orange crust when it dries. Just also wanted to update the forum, finally got to put the chemical guys sprayable leather on my new longhorn, and it already has a much richer top grain smell. Also left a nice not shiny finish on the dashboard. It is a good dressing for the plastic as well.
