I believe one guy here posted about getting 100+ off of his purchase just by signing up for the Amazon credit card. Keep that in mind if you want to save a good chunk of change

Would someone really tamper with thier credit score to save $100? 🤔 Does not seem like the savvy move unless they are just starting out and needing to build cred.

Once your credit score is high enough, opening a new card won't affect it enough to cause damage. Or that's how I understand it anyways. Card can always be cancelled too so as to not lower your credit age for long

Minimal impact if your scores already good. If you’re leveraged to the gills probably a bad move.

Guess you guys might be right. I don’t think I would hassle with it for a Franklin. I stay over 800 so if anything comes up that I really need I am good.

Knowing me I would forget the new card and it would triple my savings in penalties!

Wow those are extremely low profile. Any wind noise while driving on the freeway? I like how they look

I haven't drivin far yet. In a few days I'll be hitting the highway I'll let you know.

I'm impressed so far with them. Just between quality, looks and installation. They are low profile compared to others and I like the consistent flow. The fact that go over the B pillars just make them blend in more in my opinion. Where in-track stick out, then got broken up with the B piller between front and back.

So yeah I recommend them. As for wind noise I'll get back to Saturday about that.

So….I did a thing today! 9E892F9A-CD3D-419C-BA5B-A271FE706531.jpeg

First impressions?
Absolutely awesome! I have it mounted on the middle setting.
This truck is PLANTED in the curves. Turns like a Formula One racer.
I also went through a service station lot with a lot of raised-mound manhole covers and normally would have rolled each way shaking back and forth but it felt glued to the ground.

I read one of the other threads on the Hellwig Sway Bar with about 39 pages and only two said it wasn’t worth it.
Those two couldn’t have had it set up right.

I can attest that it is indeed worth every cent I paid for it.
I have air suspension and it has not hindered the ride quality of my Limited.
I don’t feel any need to put it on the softer setting or that it needs any more than the middle. I don’t tow so no need to venture further on tension.

If you were ever waffling on whether to buy it….don’t!
It’ll become one of your favourite mods!

Like others have mentioned just pay it off immediately and it can actually positively impact your credit score because you've added additional lines of credit to your total amount.

Also, while it's well and good to be above 800 prime rates start at 750. So if you have the cash, aren't going to purchase anything stupid, and don't mind filling out paperwork it's literally a free $100.

As some anecdotal evidence - I refinanced my mortgage, my truck, and opened a new CC this yr and my score is still at a 750. If you really want your mind blown look up the guys who churn credit card points.

Lol, that'd be me. Last year I made over $7,500 in free money just by using credit card points. And I never keep a balance so I never pay interest. If this year keeps up the way it is going, I'll be over $10,000.

Cito Costco card is the best. Run monthly expenses through that and the annual kick back is fantastic plus the 2% ok Costco groceries and gas.

Bingo. I use the amazon card all the time (5% on amazon with prime). I have cards for a lot of retailers, I just make sure not to carry a balance on any of them unless they offer 0% for a certain time. For example, I just put a deck on with my home depot card (0% for 6 months). Like mentioned, usually more accounts and more lines of credit actually increase your score. Cancelling a card a month later is never a good idea. I've never cancelled any account, I just don't use them. There are some people that have perfect credit scores, and they all have high lines of credit. One guy that holds a Guinness record I believe, has something like 1500 credit lines and over $1M in available credit. I apologize for the nerdy digression ha.

Ditto the costco card, we use it for everything. The kick is amazing.

Rear ended another vehicle 🤦‍♂️ I was at the crest of a hill, he stopped right below, didn't see him over my hood until I hit him. Hence the damage to the bottom of my bumper.
That sucks! Just cosmetic damage? Sorry for your shi**y day.

Don't let anyone tell you that New Hampshire doesn't have sales tax. My last car, I ended up paying about $2500 in 'taxes' before my registration bottomed out at $150 a year. the truck will probably end up being about $4,000.

I should note, they determine this based on sticker, not on what you paid. So they think I paid $69,000 for my truck instead of $62,000. I'm going to take my bill of sale in and see if they'll reduce the price.

Disabled vet with DV license plate. Back when I got it (1993), you only had to be 30% disabled. I'm 40%. Now you have to be 80% (I think). Since I had it already, I've been grandfathered. IF you have a DV plate in MA, (not a placard), there is no Sales tax assessed, and annually, no excise tax either. The ONE time, it's good to live in MA.
