2021 Ram 1500 Bed Rack

I have a 2021 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 5'7" bed. I'm looking for a roll-up tonneau cover compatible bed rack. Preferably one that is height adjustable. It's going to be used to hold skis, snowboards, rooftop tents, kayaks, and more. I'm also looking for a roof rack system. Any suggestions?

If you’ve got a Retrax XR or Pace Edwards Ultragroove cover, you’ve got a number of options. Yakima Overhaul HD is an adjustable rack, and the Tonneau Kit 1 allows it to be used with the T-slot tracks on those covers.

Incidentally, I’ll be putting my Yakima rack, Tonneau Kit, and Retrax XR cover (5’7”) up for sale, as I’ve replaced the rack with a Frontrunner platform and will be going to a 6’4” bed. Atlanta area if anyone is interested.

I run the Rhino rack platform with backbone system on the roof and the 12 inch high RCI adjustable bed rack on the bed of my 2021 Rebel. I like that the 12 inch height will mount a rooftop tent but still keep it below the cab height. I used C clamps for the bed rack but RCI also sells a rail mount that allows for bed covers.

Yep, T slot. It's kreg made but I painted it with bed liner then sanded the top to give it a clean black/silver look. I also put a rail on each side of the center console. I have my ham radio and mic on the driver's side track. The one on the dash is mounted using the two screws under the utility mat/cover. I wish I'd taken pictures of the build but I just kinda came up with it as I went. Thanks for liking!

I’m running Truck covers USA American roll cover with the Yakima towers/aero bars. Just installed 1up racks for bikes. Everything feels solid. I’ve sat on the cross bars (180lbs) and they were just fine. Like the setup but it was pretty pricey....that part is almost embarrassing.

Can you post a side view photo of your truck so I can see how the Rhino Rack backbone looks…? I ordered the same setup for my truck (2019 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport Crew Cab / Long box) but will have the backbone system on both my cab & canopy… I can’t find any photos of the backbone on both to see how it will look - Most have a setup like yours, or they have the Rhino Rack backbone on the cab portion and standard rail rack system for the canopy. Thanks!

This is exactly the rack I'm getting. I have a few questions—how did you install your tent on the rack? I don't see a U-bracket, and shouldn't the tent be installed on the two vertical bars of the rack? I do see some pressure on the bed rail after installing the C-clamps—how has that been so far? I’m selling my Xtrusion Overland bed rack and Retrax Pro XR cover if anyone is interested in cover and rack combo. Atlanta area.

These are for a 6’4” bed, which I realize is a rare combo. (The rack and even cover can bed adapted to other trucks with parts from their respective manufacturers).
