Front bumper impact advice

I have been doing a lot more off-roading in the last 12 months. Typically, this is done at relatively high speeds, but noting crazy (40 mph). For some reason, I keep hitting my front bumper "skid plate" and license plate holder. Is anyone else running into this? Ive seen a few people who ended up with significant damage which left them having to get an aftermarket bumper. Im debating a preemptive purchase or modification to improve my clearance. I was on a fire road last week in eastern WA and I came back with my front license plate scratched and dented pretty bad. I did a few small jumps and washboard sections at speed, but pretty tame otherwise. I was quite surprised to see the damage when I got back honestly. The suspension handles it like a champ though.

Looking, the only rebel bumper available with better clearance and protection is the ADD stealth fighter. I read somewhere on here that it messes with your parking sensors. Can anyone confirm that as I don't want to lose that functionality. Are there any other ones worth looking at with extra clearance? Also, how has the weight impacted the front end heigh?

Should be able to bolt up any ram 1500 front bumper. Bolt patterns are the same, but expect a 1-2” drop due to weight for most aftermarket bumpers which kind of negates the “extra” clearance promised.

When you say “light” jumps, I’ve never seen such a thing.

Thanks for the info. My understanding is that the fender width of the Rebel is wider and adding a non Rebel bumper will make the body lines not match. Can anyone confirm? I’ll have to call fox and see if they have stiffer springs to account for the extra weight

Regarding the jumps, I’m not 100% I completely got off the ground in this instance at least for all of them (I hit the same stretch a few times)

I have a off road bumper and sensor do act wierd but not always i just drive with them off. They act up a bit bcause they are not in oem spec distance i believe
As for the bumper not lining up i put this bumper and itsnot for rebels and it lines up pretty good

Did you have to make any special modifications in order to make it fit?

ADD stealth fighter on order. 9-10 week lead time. Free shipping because of the delay
