Over the weekend I upgraded my tires. With the bigger size, I want to recalibrate the speedo.

When I contacted the dealership, they said that every time they do this, they have to purchase a vehicle specific piece of software at $150 and hook it up to the computer.

Now, I'm going to do it, because I use cruise control all the time, but really...in 2021, how is this not as simple as hooking the Chrysler proprietary computer up to the truck and just changing the tire size in the menu? $150 for software and $150 for labor for a couple of keystrokes just blows my mind.

Because why would they give you something for free when you'll pay for it?

Lol. Obviously. But that REALLY seems dishonest...even for a dealership.

If you're going to spend that much might as well buy your own.

See!!! That's what I'm talking about!!!

If Rough Country can put it in a box for half the price, why does Stellantis (😂) need to "download an unique piece of software" and go through a whole thing. You're telling me that their diagnostic machine can't do what that little red box does?!

Thanks though. You save me $130.
