Dealers have $500 Ram-Bucks coupons they can use to help the deal, ask them. My dealer used 4 or 6 (forget which) on my deal combined with rebates to get to my price once he realized I was for real. Ask the dealer for them, especially if its a volume dealer.

Is the PenFed $1000 applicable only if you are financing through them?

I don't believe that you have to finance with them. It is a member rebate from the manufacturer from what I understand. I just created an account as well since the delivery of my order will most likely be outside 60 days. They do have some very good financing though not as good as the potential 0% manufacturer incentive. Good to have options.

There's probably not more than 1-2 more % in it at best on a Longhorn/Limited so the price you have is pretty good. That's about the going deal on a Limited/Longhorn. I thought the rebates were closer to $2000 though, are you not in the south? Rebates for Longhorn/Limited have been thr same $2000 (for me, Texas) since April 20, I highly doubt they change in the coming months. This time last year the rebate was $8000.
Yeah it seems pretty reasonable for a 2021 order in the upper trim level. If he gives me a good trade in offer I think I'll be ordering. Man $8,000 rebate sure would have been nice, I live in NY so is that what they base the rebate amount off of? Or is it where you purchase the truck? I'm not counting on them getting better in the next few months either but I could live with a little over 17% off considering how things are in the truck market right now.

Currently there is no popup but they do email things occasionally. Last month it was $1000. Make sure you give them your info. You can call the number I listed when you have gathered all your rebates and see what can be combined.
Sounds great thanks again for all of your help!

Rebates are based on your home address.

Honestly, I've bought many vehicles using my employer's supplier status with manufacturers and always assumed I was getting a good deal on those transactions (although I did know about holdbacks, etc). Yes, ignorance is bliss. Did you ever make a deal with that NJ dealer? Seems like Mark Dodge is the spot.

Now, I just wish that I didn't know that I could expect a cracked and leaky rear window on my future Rebel!

I put the purchase on hold for now. I know I wanted a truck by August at the latest which means getting an order in by May. I always pick saving money over getting what I want right now so maybe by May, I’ll feel compelled to wait for 2022’s UConnect 5 then I’ll wait for next employee pricing event (November/December). My vehicles are all paid off and in great shape. No huge rush.

Has anyone here ordered a truck from Mark Dodge had them put a lift on at their dealership before you took delivery?

Not Mark Dodge specifically but dealers make their money on service and add-ons (like warranties & rust protection). I almost always have a dealer add something to my purchase while waiting for me to go pick it up. Tint, Wheels, air intake, anything that makes my car ‘unique’ on the drive home.

If they’re like every other dealer, they’ll love to make a hundred off you in shop-time.

I just bought a new bike and had them replace the clutch & suspension as soon as it came out of the crate, last car I had them to tint, intake, aspherical mirrors and drop it off at a local detailer for ceramic coating.

Anyone get any good deals on big horns or know of any high volume dealers in western pa, eastern Ohio, northern Maryland or northern West Virginia? I’m from around the Pittsburgh PA area.

My numbers, for a factory-ordered Laramie edoDiesel, 4x4, ORG, 6'4", Level A Equipment, BUG, and some other odds and ends:

(Dollars, US)
MSRP: 63,530
Invoice: 58,598
My price: 54,388
Rebates: 4,000
Add on fees: 165

My OTD: 50,533

Edited to add
OTD to MSRP represents 21% off.
OTD to Invoice represents 14% off (inclusive of rebates, otherwise 7% below invoice before rebates)

Phillip Olson at Bud Clary.
Great guy to work with.
I’ve had a very positive experience with him thus far - communicative and helpful.

Oregon here... we've finally saved enough for our first truck but I'm not seeing any deals out here even close to what you all are getting. I think I suck at negotiating. We found a Laramie that had everything we wanted, made an offer (15% under MSRP), and the manager called me back and politely told me to take a hike.

Being the resident (underqualified) homeschool teacher for our 4th grader, there's no way I can fly to New Orleans (or the Northeast) to drive a truck back home.

Idaho has one volume dealer but they never seem to have a Laramie with all 5 of our "must-have" features,.. Advanced Safety Group, Tow Package, Laramie Level II, Sunroof and either Sport Appearance or Night Edition (neither of us like chrome)

Six weeks in and I'm super burned out. I know some people enjoy car shopping. I'd rather be boiled in oil.

Anyone know a good West Coast RAM dealer with an honest, straight-forward salesperson???

Second on Phillip Olson at Bud Clary in Auburn (near Seattle) - no hassle, straight forward. I got 6.5% below invoice on a 2500. I’m flying from San Diego to WA to pick it up, so will be driving thru Oregon on way back :)

I am in the Seattle area and geting close to ordering a truck (once I decide between a Laramie and Rebel), can you talk a little more about your experience with Bud Clary in Auburn? It sure would be great to get a good deal and good service from a local dealer but in the end I am prepared to fly and drive if needed.
No brainer for you to stay local with Phillip. In my experience he was a couple hundred less than Aaron (who was also great) but it was a bit closer to drive Seattle to San Diego vs Louisiana. Phillip has been transparent and communicative.

All:
Who do you sign up with to get these emails? Just the Ram website? I’ve signed up but haven’t seen anything.
I read a lot about the December 1,500 pop ups - did those appear just by visiting the website? LOL I visit site daily looking for the pop up like an Easter egg:)

So are these chip shortages effecting any model that has options such as the advanced safety group, or is it just limited to Laramie's ordered that way currently? As in, if I want to order a longhorn with some of those options, same delay time? I've only seen people mentioning Laramie's in regard to the chip shortage, I figure it applies to any trim level with those options but I would like to know for sure.

I placed an order for a Sport on Saturday. The dealer called me Wednesday to tell me when he went to place the order the options for BSM and Advanced Safety Group were removed. He said he called head office to ask what was up and they told him they won't be offering it on any more 2021 models for Ram 1500 and a few other Jeep/Ram models. Not sure if it applies for you guys in the US or just us here in Canada.

On PenFed website says the incentive expires on 03/31/2021, how likely do you think it will be still available after 2-4 month from now?

Got quotes from Phillip and Aaron for a built to serve build. Phillip came in at about 6.8% under invoice and Aaron was exactly $425 more. Of course I’m about 450 miles closer to Aaron so if I shipped am guessing the difference would be pretty small.

Seems like a pretty solid offer. Phillip said the built to serves aren’t expected to go into production until May with June/July delivery. With some people’s experiences lately on builds not sure I should be optimistic with that timeline...especially since I want to order BSM.

Of course I really don’t want to wait half an eternity to get the truck and have to settle for white. I just can’t find one locally that checks off most of the boxes at a decent price.

Carl just reached out to me today. Maybe he reads this forum. We will see how this goes. Aaron sets a high bar. Although, I certainly wouldn't mind an east coast more local option for shipping.
had to fight to get any response from them.

I would definitely sign up for the penfed now, just keeping in mind the 60 day rule before you'll get the coupon. The other one I believe is an after the sale rebate if I'm not mistaken?
