Good evening. I have a 2019 1500 bighorn and today I noticed that while traveling on the interstate around 75, the rpms were 2k. Is this normal? I though it would kick down to run closer to 1500-ish. The truck has 900 miles on it and the tow/haul was not on. Not sure if this would doing anything, just adding info to the post.

Thanks.
Stephen.

Yes. For 75 that is normal even with 3.21. I have a picture today if 65 and rpm was 1500. So no concerns

75 MPH and 2000 RPM is what my ram runs with 392 gears.

Same here 75 MPH with 3.92 gear ratio at 2000 RPM. Normal for me...

What about a 2021 ram 1500 4x4 with 3.21 gears? I’m seeing around 2000 rpm at 70 mph. Is this normal.

What transmission gear was it in?

2019 Ram 1500 Billet Silver Laramie Quad Cab 2WD, 5.7 Hemi, 8HP75, 3.21 axle, 33 gallon fuel tank, factory dual exhaust, 18” wheels. Build date: 03 June 2018. Now at: 045255 miles.

What is the tire height, with the 22's, which have a stock tire height of 32.1, on paper, calculated, with 3.21 in 8th @ 70 MPH is an RPM of 1575 and with the 3.92 in 8th @ 70 MPH RPM would be 1925

3.21 truck should be ~ 400 rpm less (than a 3.92) when the 3.21 truck is in its top (8th) gear. the 3.92 truck's 8th gear is actually the 3.21 truck's 7th gear.

That's why I'm ordering the 3.21--gas mileage is consistently better at fast highway speeds (which I'll be doing a lot of)...and....it's quieter. Like my cars/trucks quiet on the inside, especially on the highway on long trips. better music and conversation. 2021 Limited is one the quietest truck I've ever ridden in while cruising...it just floats around like a Lexus...but with a hemi. :)
