Hi guys. As I was informing my brother today to check his headliner for leaks I figured I’d check mine again. Sure enough I’ve got the cracked frame and stained headliner in the corners by the speakers. Now I know this has been discussed to death in other threads which I’ve read.

My question though is this. To repair the cracks, is that where people have been getting their entire glass assembly replaced? Also, has anyone had an indigo frost headliner cleaned successfully? Just wondering if I can avoid a full replacement.

thanks for the info.

Cracked window frame should not cause staining of the headliner, at least it did not in my case.
You could have a leaky third brake light?
And yes, the repair involves a new window assembly.

I got my rear window replaced last week luckily the next day it was raining when I picked it up and the headliner was soaking wet then they replace the third brake light I didn’t notice any leaking before because my headliner is gray and it did not stain I only knew of the cracked window frame because of this forum To top that off when I went to pick it up the battery was dead so they jump started it and had no explanation to what caused it so last night I ran to the store came out and the battery is dead so I’m on to a new problem Which will be the eighth problem I’ve had so far with this truck with only 6400 miles on it. It’s a great truck I’m just starting to lose my patience If you add up all the time and gas money it takes to get this truck to the dealer it feels like it’s an extra 50 bucks a month on your truck payment

Could be the "batch of defective batteries" or the "some module stays powered up draining the battery" causing that.
I think a battery booster pack is going to be on my shopping list shortly...

I really like my truck, it's just a shame that I have to use the 3yr/36mo warranty as QC.
It can be frustrating to be the early adopter "test bed".
I effing love my Rebel and it would take a major event to make me go back to ford.

I agree I mainly owned Fords myself but the best two trucks I brag about that I bought used were a 93 GMC half ton Z 71 and A 2001 4x4 Dodge Dakota I will brag about the ram in a different way it is an awesome truck for the money

My `97 expedition owed me nothing, nor did the 92 exploder, 90 Bronco or the 86 Bronco.
Love my Rebel.

So I had the stained headliner but mine was more in the middle than the corners. It was my brake light that was leaking and I had them replace my headliner instead of trying to clean it as I figured there was no way they get the stain out to where it was not noticeable to me. They went through my rear window to replace my headliner so they had to replace my rear window too... Then they reimbursed me for getting my rear window re-tinted

Upper 3rd brake light leak....first two apparently defective. Waiting for the next heavy rainfall to check on third installed one. This time I was promised that the dealer water tested it for over 30mins to check if it leaked Slowly loosing my patience!

Definetly the rear window.. No third brake lt. needs replace 3 times unless there not cleaning the surface. From the photos you can see water running the top of the rear power slider

Question - mine is now leaking, but only drips from one side of the slider directly onto the middle seat shoulder. I inspected the 3rd brake light/gasket, looks fine. How do you find the crack you guys are talking about without going into the dealer...of course I am now over my 3/36k

The rear window frame does not have to be cracked to suffer a leak. There could be a leak caused by poor adhesive bonding. Mine leaked and the frame never had any cracks.
