Ordering Limited, ORG or Not?

I was supposed to pick up my new 2021 next week as a replacement for my 2019 lemon; unfortunately the dealer sold the truck to someone else. Fortunately now I can special order my replacement with exactly the options I want. The one thing I disliked about my 2019 Limited was the tires; the low sidewalls on the 22s and the tight Chicagoland parking, I have curb rash on a couple wheels. As I want the Night Edition package, curb rash will be very visible on the black wheels. I was planing to change tires to a 305/45/22 (Dynapro AT2, Terra Grappler G2, still undecided) for the taller sidewall and general look. Now I'm wondering if I should get the ORG and run 20s; I would most likely still change tires.

I do not go off-roading, the only reason for the ORG would be 20" wheels. So the advice I'm seeking is should I go for the ORG, any pros/cons, are 20s a better ride? And general opinions on what looks better; 20s or 22s with a larger tire. Thanks

I purposely got mine with 20" wheels. The 22's are too 'blingy' for me plus the ride is a tad better on 20's. More sidewall to absorb bumps. The fact that curb hits only scuff the tires is an additional benefit.
I'd go for the ORG to give the truck the extra inch of lift which is noticeable in my opinion.
But if the most important thing to you is a smooth ride then get 20's and no ORG.

Some considerations:
A co-worker has the 22s on his limited, I have 20s. His definitely rides more stiff/harsh according to both of us.
If you only want a larger tire, why pay for the ORG? Just get the 20s since you said you will most likely change tires anyways.
Confirm that whatever combination of wheel/tire you choose, there will be no rubbing.

I thought the limited night edition upgrades you to the 22's. Can you even get the 20's with a limited night edition.

In the configurator Night Edition shows 22s, but is you also select ORG the Night Edition box changes to 20s.

Typically it's cheaper to go with the ORG for the lift and tires, etc. But I'm told that snow can get compacted above the skid plate and cause issues (based on another thread here). No experience in my part but take a look around on the forum regarding the skid plates and ORG.

ORG will give the truck a natural 1" lift in 'normal' mode.
1" is actually noticeable and I kind of wish I went with ORG for the looks/stance in normal suspension mode.
But I've heard that 1" lift affects suspension feel, making it ride a little more 'truck like'.

We weren't able to get the night edition and the ORG when we bought our 2020 Limited. That appears to have changed now. At least with the online configurator tool.

I haven't had any issues with that on my Laramie, which has the ORG. I've driven in some relatively deep snow with it. Maybe I should see if I can find those threads you're talking about.

The Falken Wildpeaks that come with the ORG are great for everyday use. They are technically an AT tire, but being 6-ply, they're softer than 10-ply AT tires. I love how our Laramie rides with the ORG tire/wheel combination. Plus, the tires work very well in winter conditions if you ever drive in those conditions.

I concur with you on this one. I got curb rash and then changed to the 305 45 22 Nitto 420V tires. With the wider stance (almost an inch) and about a half inch taller I haven't dinged the rims again since the tire sticks out more now. I like the look of the 22" more, but the 20" would work also. I read somewhere that when you order the 22" wheels with the truck you get different hubs that have stronger bearings but I haven't seen that information again.

I just picked up a Laramie last night with the ORG. I love the stance, but it does ride noticeable stiffer (not worse, just stiffer) than the regular 4x4 Laramie did. Not sure how much more or less noticeable it would be on air suspension.

The Falken Wildpeaks that come with the ORG are great for everyday use. They are technically an AT tire, but being 6-ply, they're softer than 10-ply AT tires. I have the Falken Wildpeak AT3W's from discount tire, great tires! But that issue I mentioned is from a recent thread too so just go back maybe 1 or 2 pages on the posts...
