Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my headlights, they are on as soon as I start the engine. I don't mean the halo type part this is actually the front headlights (not rear taillights) and it makes no difference turning the light switch off/auto or anything. The only thing I've found is if I apply the e brake the headlights go off leaving just the halo lights on which is fine, as soon as i release the e-brake headlights are back on. Now from what I've read my truck has been imported from Canada. There is no option on the uconnect to turn headlights off or DRL's as I think they are called. Does anyone know of any way that I can get the headlights off in the daytime. Oh I should mention going to a dealer is not an option as I'm in the UK.

you could give these guys a try. I used their genie on my 4th gen to turn ON drl and it worked fine. They may be able to do a custom genie for your use case?

Will a Tazer DT solve my issues? at $329 plus shipping to UK and add import duty its quite expensive, but if this will turn my DRL's off and even let me mess around with other things then i think its worth it. I just would like to know if 1. will it work with my apple iphone and 2. do I need any other types of adapters? I have a 2019 Ram Limited. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Much like Canada, it appears any vehicle newer than 2011 must have DRL's in the UK. Food for thought.

If you're just looking for something to change OEM settings then AlfaOBD and a Bluetooth OBDII adapter will work for less than the Tazer.

Won't the "halo" strip around the headlights be the same as most UK vehicles have. My truck's headlights are permanently on without any way of turning them off until the ignition/engine is shut off.
Do you know if the Alfaobd and a bluetooth OBD11 adapter will allow changes to things such as Power Fold Mirrors with unlocking/locking, adjusting brightness of strip lights and so on.

AlfaOBD is a software for the diagnostics of the vehicles produced by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) group. Fiat / Alfa Romeo / Lancia cars produced in 1994-2017, and Chrysler / Dodge / Ram / Jeep cars of model years 2005-2017 are supported.
My truck is 2019 so I'm not sure this will work???? So many different options its confusing.
