Has anyone found a way other than going through the front wheel wells to replace low beam halogen headlights? Went to install some new Beamtech LED bulbs but can't even get my hand near the dust covers...
I both went through the wheel wells and the hood. Removed the air box on the passengers side and two ground wires on the drivers side. It still sucked, but this way I could get two hands in there to help remove the connector and reconnect it. It can be done from the top but it is tight.Has anyone found a way other than going through the front wheel wells to replace low beam halogen headlights? Wow, that's a lot of work just for a headlight bulb. I'll try the wheel well I guess...before removing anything else. I remember our 2005 GC Hemi...the only way to replace the headlights was to remove the bulb assembly...same with my 2014 F150...smh.I both went through the wheel wells and the hood. The air box pops right out, but there are metal hydraulic lines close to the dust cap. Removing the two grounds helps, but there is still a large wire harness that's mostly in the way. Headlight Revolution has a couple of videos with them changing from the engine compartment. It is more involved than they make it out to be, just because of how tight it is. All of the cussing has been edited out.Wow, that's a lot of work just for a headlight bulb. I'll try the wheel well I guess...before removing anything else. I'm sure my experience won't be edited lolThe air box pops right out, but there are metal hydraulic lines close to the dust cap.
