So after moving a sectional sofa...my glorious roll-on/spray-on liner is peeling. Never going with the spray-on again. So I need to either try and remove the crap and/or install a quick drop in for under $300 :cautious:
Has anyone looked into the weatherTech/Techliners? It's a molded Bottom bed liner/tailgate liner. (drop-in) for like $235. I'm thinking about just ordering that...

A duraliner “drop in“is about $149-189 locally. Call around. I paid $149 installed But found that range.

I have the rugged liner in my truck and it has worked out great for me. I used the D57U19 model. They are under $300 as well; I got mine from summit racing.

Nice, I'll take a look! The other one I was just looking at was TrailFX...

If the damage is on the bottom and not the sides just put in a heavy duty rubber mat. They keep stuff from shifting as well.

I had the Weathertech in my previous truck, and it worked great for me. Lots of loads of firewood and trips to the landfill. My only complaint is that it only covers the bed and a few inches up the sides.

Did you install the bed liner yourself? Surface prep is at least as important as the product that's used. My current trucks both have spray on bed liners that were professionally installed. One was factory installed, the other was aftermarket. so far no complaints about either.

The sides are still covered in my bed so that's all I will need is the bottom and tailgate. But my liner is the Herculiner crap...I spent about 1.5 hours prepping, sanding, priming and sanding again. So it's just a junk liner to begin with. Factory spray on is usually pretty decent though.

That's what I was thinking too...just a bottom mat...but I also need a new liner on the tailgate too (preferably a matching one). Techliner is looking good...but I don't know if they fit the new body style bed.

The funny thing with this...if I just used the spray can krylon truck liner....it would've held up way better lol!

Don't get him started on prep. He spent a ton of time on it.

I had the Mopar version installed in a Gen 4 w/good results. I remember that it was around $300.

Have you looked at the BedRug XLT Bed Mat? The XLT version includes a cover for the tailgate. I just installed one in my truck on top of the factory spray-in.

I’ve had BedRugs in all of my trucks and really like the product.

The lower price of the drop-ins from what I found is from shipping savings. Where are you from? Online purchases raise the price by about $100 or more.

^^^ I agree. Shipping could be an issue, whereas some of the larger Ram dealerships “might” have it in stock, or a least you wouldn’t have to worry about shipping (generally) if going w/the Mopar version. At least that’s what I did... ordered from the dealership, and I think they gave me a 15% discount with no shipping charge.

That's a good point...didn't think of that. I'm in Las Vegas. I think the only dealer here that's reputable is on the other side of the city. Maybe I'll give them a call to see what they have. I did also find a Trail FX full drop in liner for $195...I think it said free shipping too.
