FCA SHAP 2021 Production Question

I believe I have read on various threads in here that existing 2020 RAM orders will be filled by FCA SHAP, then by mid July the facility should start producing 2021's. Does anyone, maybe someone who works at SHAP, have any sense of the timeline for when the 2021's will begin production and possibly made available to dealers for order?

As a side note, for those who have not read my prior posts, I ordered a 1500 Limited over 100 days ago. As of today, it is still in D status. I suspect this means SHAP is waiting on parts from providers for my particular truck. Therefore, I am thinking of pulling that order and replacing it with a 2021 order, but my dealer tells me my order will be here in two more months, and it will not be until May or June 2021 when the 2021 Rams will be produced. I do not believe that statement, so I thought I would check with the folks in the know in here to verify.

You have good reason to be skeptical of what the dealer is telling you.

I can't tell you exactly, but typically model year production starts in the 4th quarter of the year previous. 2019 DTs were a rather rare exception.

Keep in mind that factories were shutdown due to the recent health crisis, which would explain a delay in your order.
