Where are all of the speakers? I count 7 speakers, 3 in the front dash 1 in each door and have read that there are 2 in the back seat roof area but the only thing i see are the small noise cancelling microphone like speakers. Are those the 2 speakers i am missing???

I have 3 on the dash , 1 on each door and 2 in the roof plus the sub in behind the back seat . I don’t believe my roof speakers are in the very back though I think they’re closer to the middle .

Thanks for the reply. I looked again just now and I have nothing in the roof except for the very small speakers/microphone for hands free calling and the cabin noise cancellation feature. I would have thought I had the 6 speaker setup but since I can easily count 7 I figured I had the 9 speaker setup with subwoofer but cant for the life of me find the last 2 speakers

I think on the Big Horn, the 9 speaker plus sub is the "optional" sound system. They count woofers/tweeters as separate speakers, so I think it is 4 6x9 woofers in the doors, the center channel in the dash, the woofer/tweeters in the corners of the dash (so 4 total speakers there) for a total of 9. Plus the sub behind the rear seat.

If you have a sub behind your rear seat, you have the 9 speaker system for sure.

No. On the Alpine system you have 9 actual speakers.
On the HK you have 14 with 19 coils which are counted as separated speakers.

Yeah... On the HK you have a mid speaker in the dash and ceiling that has a tweeter on it, they count it as 2 speakers, so there is the extra 5, 3 in dash and 2 in the roof.
On the alpine it's only the mid-highs speaker, no extra tweeter on it. And they didn't actually count the sub in the Alpine so it's 10 "speakers".

Wait, what? Are you saying the put a grill cover over an area that doesn’t have a speaker? That’s pretty sad they would do that but, if that’s the case I probably have the 6 speaker system.

Yeah, pretty surprised at this as well, considering the factory dash speakers seem to be of the $5 quality at best.
Wondering if you have a connector so you can add a speaker though. Did you look?

I suspect this is because they use a common form for the dash, regardless of the model. Since there's a hole there it needed to be covered. Of course, this is just speculation on my part.

On the Alpine 9 speaker system, the center speaker cover says Alpine. Does the cover on the 6 speaker system have any markings on it?

No sir she is as bare as a baby’s bottom! So definitely have the base 6 speaker setup

No sir there isn’t. It is a very small thing but it is very telling about how much they care about giving their customers a quality product. The fact they would omit something like this is extremely disappointing. I didn’t by the truck for the stereo system but didn’t think they would cheap out on a detail like this. I mean its not a limited or Laramie but the sticker on this thing was $47K i mean come on just put a $10 speaker in there

You want center dash speaker? get the Alpine or tear your all dash apart to wire the little prick.

BTW: Get a set of 3.5" Infinity Ref for the dash and some bass blockers, it's going to make the sound considerably better. They run for less than $100 for both the spkrs and BB and i think it's going to be enough for you. This way you will eliminate the need for a center dash spkr.

I have read that entire thread and was pumped when one member was able to start to make it happen for people and I was all in! Then I kept reading and saw the higher ups shut him down which is total BS!

Also thanks again for the recommendation I will look into those speakers. Any need or recommendation on new door speaker replacements?
