After a ten year hiatus I'm back in the Ram family! My first vehicle was a 2001 Dodge Ram Sport w/a regular cab, short bed & a 5.9L V8. After running that thing around for 8 years I traded it in on a Voodoo Blue Toyota FJ Cruiser in April 2009. I loved the SUV life as I was single and never really had a need to haul anything except friends, but after 10 1/2 years, 160k miles, numerous moves, getting married, and three boys I decided it was time to give it up & get back into the truck life (the rotting floorboard of the FJ may have also contributed). So in late-October 2019 I headed to the dealership and walked out with the NEW 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn Sport Crew Cab. I toned things down a little bit and went with the beautiful Patriot Blue & haven't looked back. One thing I enjoyed about the Toyota FJ Cruiser was the ability to do the majority of work myself through information gathered in forums like this, so I'm hoping to meet you all and enjoy the Ram life once again. Here are a few pics from the night I purchased through the recent installation of the EGR In-Channel Windows Visors. I already had one minor mishap as someone clipped my mirror. Surprisingly it didn't break but I quickly bought some touch-up paint to correct and now need to smooth everything out once the weather warms up. Let me know your tips to smooth the uneven paint. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum. Your Patriot Blue Ram looks awesome! I'm no paint expert but I would think you'll need to sand down the irregularities using something like 800-1000 grit to make it smooth. Once that's done, spray from a rattle can with some clear blending into the existing clear. Polish with some white polishing paste followed by some wax. I'm sure other forum members will be able to provide additional advice.

Thanks, it's good to be here! Anxious to smooth over that rough spot but I know I need to be patient and wait for warmer weather.

Welcome back! I traded in my black 2000 Ram on my patriot blue 2007 Ram which I traded in for my Diamond Black 2019. Loved them all but this 2019 is fantastic.

I need to dig up photos of my first one. Unfortunately it was from the Dark Ages (you know, the time before Facebook existed). I spent way too much money on rims, lights, and other accessories to fall asleep and drive into a guardrail doing 70 on the Interstate. I survived, even if the wheels didn't, so that's all that counts
