I am pretty sure that it wouldn't be a problem but I am very reluctant to haul my 4 wheeler in the back of my rebel. I am concerned with the strength of the aluminium tailgate. The back tires of my grizzly are(or would be) right in the middle of the tailgate. Is this an issue I should be concerned with or am I just being paranoid?

Its a truck. It is meant to be used as a truck. I haven’t hauled a 4wheeler but I wouldn’t hesitate one bit to haul it.

Perfect, just the picture I wanted to see. Just one question please, did you use a ramp to load? Looking to get a ramp or not. I have a Cat 9000 and am wondering about the tailgate taking the initial loading weight as it goes up the ramp. Thanks!

Ha! Thats my old truck in the picture above. Now hauling in my new truck. I've added Timber Grove airbags because the truck is almost level unloaded, so loaded makes it squat. The bags fixed it.
I'm in the process of changing bedcovers because I didnt like the way this one had my four wheeler hanging out on the tailgate. I've had no issue driving up the ramps/tailgate. My bike is 750lbs and I'm about 225.
Also the Louisiana Guard Dog is worth every penny.

On my 09 I would use the ramps and use the winch on my Outlander to pull up in bed, felt it was safer. I put a heavy duty strap at the front between the bed eye hooks and attached winch cable to that.

It's a full size truck...you can haul a 4 wheeler in the bed with no issues. Rally that sucker up some ramps and ratchet to the tie down points. No worries.

Just spent 3 days and put about 800 miles on her. Rode like a champ, airbags worked flawlessly, LA Gaurd Dog worked great.

Yup, I've hauled my 4 wheeler several times in the bed of my truck, with the rear tires on the tailgate. The one time it blew the cylinder and I was alone, I did what Doberman11 mentioned. I ran a ratchet strap between the front bed tiedowns. I then ran the ATV winch rope to the ratchet strap, using the winch to pull it up into the bed. Otherwise I just drive it up and on.
The tailgate is designed to support up to 2000 pounds. Don't worry about it. This ad was for the MFT, but both tailgates are rated the same...
