Navigation screen with black rectangular markers. Does anyone know what these are?

On the navigation screen there are certain black rectangle

On mine there are blocks like that but they are filled in half white and half black diagonally and they have the route number in them. I don't know why yours are all black. I don't like mine half and half even. Can't see the route number very well and they are too small. For me would be better if all white. For you, yours are useless.

Thanks for response. I went by the dealer today. They have never seen black rectangles and were not much help. They did say an update will be coming out by end of year and that might fix it.

Did you zoom in? Not good for driving but may eliminate the square.

Addendum. The black box should show the state highway number but it is blacked out
