I’ve been on the fence about the ready lift. How’s it ride with the rebel wheels and lift. Mpg? Ride? Tell me everything.

I personally like the lift. Had the readylift and RC side by side. Readylift is way better.

The ride is a little bit stiffer. But not anywhere near me wanting to remove it.

MPG is really subjective. I run between 15.8-16.2 average.

I recently replaced the duratrac and went with KO2 35x12.5x18 tires. Alot quieter than the duratrac. Also got a little cushion back from the taller sidewall. 20190817_194249.jpg

All positive things in my opinion. Damn that truck looks freaking nice. I like the set up man. The reason I didn’t get the rebel was because I didn’t like the grill (storm trooper face) and the red interior. Just to loud. But the rebel wheels and the Laramie trim looks very nice.

Besides the rebel warranting a premium price, I didnt mind the red. Just couldn't logically swing the extra 10k. Keep in mind I purchased 10/1/18. But i was reading that the 2020 rebel are coming out with a black interior. Which looked pretty slick.

See if the interior was all black I would have been good. I could have given in on the face. I bought mine 2 months back and I got the Laramie for $36k with discounts and all that.

Well I just saw an advertisement for 20% off not sure if that’s nationwide but that’s better than what I got.

After tons of searching and looking for combos. Aftermarket, 18", 20". 33 or 35 tires etc. Stressful stuff. Lol But I still wanted a set of Rebel wheels. Finally found a set. Less than 200 miles on them and still had the blue over the RWL.
So I we made a deal via FB and I planned the 4.5hr road trip 1 way. Get there and they were all to be expected. Paid, shook hands and drove the 4.5hr return trip. Went to the dealer today to get sensors swapped and finally a wash.

9hrs on the road - $120 in gas
Snacks and lunch - $20
Dealership fee - $80
Rebel wheels and tires - $1025
Having a sexy Laramie- Priceless! View attachment 6619
How the ride compared to the original setup up I see you added Ready lift and the bigger tires.
I wanted to do the same but use the 22in Limited Wheels?

What psi do you guys run in the duratracs?
I'm a bit confused because my laramie with stock 18s says 36 front and rear on the door jamb but I have read that the rebels say 55psi front and 45psi rear with the duratracs. I think that is way too high for normal daily driving, unloaded. Thoughts?

After installing the readylift, it was noticeably stiffer. However after installing the 35" KO2, I did get some of my cushion back. Taller side wall etc. To me it feels like it did when I had just a level on it.

When I had mine, I ran them at 40 front and rear. Gave them an even wear and rode comfortably.

@JBeckman,
Beautiful truck man, Congrats!!

You mention that you are still getting ~16mpg with the lift, 4x4, larger tires ..any issues with the 3:21 gears; feeling under powered or lugging at all? Do you think the gears might be saving you 1-2 mpg? Only asking as I've read most don't lift or add larger tires unless they have the 3:92 gearing. Lastly, do you have any other pics of the power running boards ...they look nice and tucked under the truck. How do they look fully out? Pop out automatically when door opens? Are they tied into Uconnect at all?

Again, great looking truck!!

Thanks Vader! I think I've decided to jot worry abt running boards. But I do need some mud flaps. Lol

You know I got some of the nerf bar style ones and think I should have got the electric ones. The truck already has a nice gab form floor to frame that I should have kept. Maybe I’ll sel mine and get the electric ones.

Thank you sir.! I really dont feel like its sluggish at all. I dont romp on it too much, so it gets to the speed I want efficently. I do believe the 3.21 helps in that dept.

The running boards are connected via the OBD port. Plug and play. They open with doors, and are not connected to the uconnect. I also opted for the bypass switch so I can deploy and wash. Here are some pics. 20190817_194249.jpg 20190316_111846.jpg 20190817_194249.jpg 20190316_111846.jpg 20190317_105808.jpg 20190907_224326.jpg
