What's the No. 1 thing that disappointed you the most about your truck ?

Most of us here have some issues with our truck but what's the one thing that disappointed you the most? Mine was perfect until I discovered a water leak under the driver side door sill. The ironic thing is I got rid of my 2015 F150 because of a water leak that they can't fix. I got the Ram and didn't want the sunroof because I didn't want to take the chance on getting a leak but now I'm dealing with the same issue. Very frustrating.

So does this mean you’re not “tracking your order” anymore? (i.e. your profile)

I can’t think of any major disappointments with mine. I’ve had a few issues, but any frustration has generally been due to the number of service visits it has taken to get them corrected.

The biggest disappointment is the poor paint quality (orange peel) and the poor panel fitment (grill alignment, door gaps, etc.). I didn't really notice the paint quality and fitment issues until I had the truck for a couple weeks. If I had noticed them when I bought it; then I probably would not have bought it. I'm still frustrated by a couple mechanical things, but I really do love the ride and comfort of the truck.

I should have gotten the Laramie, or researched the BigHorn options first. The proximity FOB that does not unlock the door when approaching the truck just bugs me. I should have waited until the 2020's came out as I broke my own rule by buying a first-year model change vehicle.

A small few things 1)the reverse lights few like a safety concern. 2) gas mileage is way below advertised and feel a bit cheated

None of these are big issues and I love my truck. The reverse lights feel silly for 60k truck to need aux lighting to fix. I can barely see backing up my long driveway. The milage doesn't really amount to much monetarily, but I feel deceived.

UConnect, AC, and windshield wiper nozzles don't meet my expectations, but these are not huge issues. It will never hit the fuel mileage numbers on the window sticker, which is disappointing but I knew that before I bought it.

AC performance, fuel economy, no sport mode (like f-150 has) Sirius sound quality, paint quality, wanders around on hwy more than any truck I've ever had (yes I lowered tire psi) and no bed lights std.

I know it souds like a lot, but overall I still love the truck.

Fuel economy. I bought this truck with the 3.6L etorque engine specifically because of the mileage estimate on the sticker. This truck doesn't even come close to the sticker estimate.

Having said that, I love the truck. Its comfortable and drives great. I'm glad I got the equipment 2 package.

Guys..I know we have many issues and it maybe hard to pick just one but try to list only ONE thing, the No.1 on your list.

This is a love/hate issue.

It's a money pit....

It's led me to this forum again (previous 2011 owner) and I see a bunch of modifications that I wouldn't normally think about but see on posts and immediately want also. Resulting in a hit to my checking account lol.

I'm almost right there with you. I keep seeing mods that look really great, but after thinking about it, I usually decide it's not worth the tradeoff. Would love a lift and 35s, but don't want to give up ANY ride quality. Would love a louder exhaust, but don't want ANY highway drone, or to be "that guy" if I need to start it up at night in a campground or something. Might be interested in audio upgrades, but don't want to give up the ANC integration. And on and on...

I hate the brake release.

It is counter-intuitive. I grew up with cars that had a foot pedal parking brake, and a release lever down on the lower left side of the dash that you PULLED to release. My last two cars have had a lever between the seats. How do you release it? You PULL up to take the pressure off the release button.

Now all the sudden you push to release? What's next, put the turn signal lever on the right side of the column, since the gear shift is no longer there?

I've lost count of how many times I've reached down and yanked the release and put it in gear only to have the noise and warning lights advising me that the parking brake is on.

UConnect, specifically, how unreliable the whole USB connectivity is. CarPlay & thumb drives plugged into the truck work whenever they want. Very unreliable and frustrating.
Also, wish that wireless CarPlay was offered. It's insane having all this high tech, wireless charging, and then having to plug your phone in like it's 2009... Not just RAM issue, but a pet peeve of mine.

Rest of the truck I love. No other issues.

I miss a gear shift lever. I can not get used to that knob. I back my truck in and I always turn it to “drive” instead of “park” after backing.
