Putting cutouts on a slow truck is the equivalent of ricers putting fart can exhausts on civics. Louder does not equal better
Opinions are like.... we all have one; some choose to become the fart police, which gives you of course the right to blow your smoke out of your own exhaust.

And...to the show and no go---last time I checked, didn't see much of anyone pushing how much "go" they were getting out of their exhaust....just sound.

But like opinions....we have found the one in the crowd.:ROFLMAO:

I will add, the day one of the other companies add ON/OFF switch to the sound; I would be interested. I just took trip up to St Petersburg and the ability to go to complete stock sound/quiet to enjoy the scenery was LOVELY.

I like staying under the radar and not attracting attention, so it will be stock for me. Plus, in my neighborhood and the times I pull in and out of the driveway I am sure the neighbors are appreciative. ;)

Has anyone just completely deleted the mufflers, while leaving the resonators in place?
A friend of mine with an earlier truck (2017?) did that. What I heard sounded good, but I'm also concerned about drone, at speed, or with the MDS active.

Looks like it is something he did and you can see his impressions:

Thanks for that.
That's exactly what I had/have in mind. Hard to gauge what he's hearing, as the phone's recording audio is probably compressed to a fare-thee-well. Couldn't tell much difference between "windows up" and "windows down".
But it sounds like it might be a bit much for my tastes. (I don't mind a rumble. Just don't want a drone.)

Thanks again. Still watching.

The issue with straight piping and cutouts on an N/A vehicle actually hurts performance. N/A vehicles need a little bit of back pressure.

I just did a muffler delete on my stock rebel exhaust keeping the resonators.

i did that in both my 4th gen (2017) and my current 5th gen rebel (2019). The 4th gen was a tad louder since the resonators on the 5th gen are slightly larger. These trucks come with a car back from factory so why not just do a muffler delete and add a x pipe or straight pipe instead of spending 1-2k on system ? I’m really happy just doing the muffler delete and even seen an increase of 1-2 mpgs !!!

Sometimes old age plays with the mind when ya trying to remember something and the brain gives ya glimpse of it...then bam bam...ya remember!!!

Any other exhaust offer the On/Off switch that you can recall???

While I do get some drone (with the cheap ebay exhaust cutout) which I would like to eliminate, and I love some of the exhaust other members have shared on here; I want both On and Off.

Here is older youtube video (few years) where the "exhaust cutout" concept actually placed in 2014 corvette stingray and option for harley with the ON/OFF switch:

How do you like it? Is there any drone at interstate speeds? (70-80 MPH) Any other speeds?
As I said, I like a rumble. (Had a Flowmaster on my old Chebby.) Don't want to listen to a drone. This is too nice a truck to mess up.

(Your story is similar to my friend's. He did this with both a '17 and a '19. Said the '19 is not as loud. But he lives one state over, so I can't just "hop over" to listen.)

Well I am gonna stick with my ebay exhaust cutout!!! ugh memory is $60ish...

Here is QTP video of exhaust cutout---while they are more expensive; this is the sound you get...wait for it....With The Ability To Turn it OFF/ON!!!!!!

Wow, would love to have something like that, I hate starting mine up when my neighbors are sleeping (Carven), but from that video it just doesn't sound raspy like my Carven, love the Carven sound.

These trucks really aren't any slouches. Pretty close to the 5.0 mustangs back in the early 90's. Pretty awesome for a huge truck! Why do you say slow truck anyways? Do you really feel these are slow? This day and age these trucks are pretty friggin quick.

93CBRA,

I love the sound of the Hemi in its "almost" raw form!!! After months of listening to it with this ebay exhaust cutout, it has its cons/negative aspects. The ability to turn it off and cruise up into driveway (or start up in AM) with Exhaust Cutout closed or OFF is the Bees-Knees!!!

the Exhaust Cutout---

--Gives you that ability to turn it ON/OFF (thus AM start-up or driving back into your quiet neighborhood)
--that deep Hemi sound almost raw format--(installed after cat/resonator----straight pipe being raw format)
--As my other half tells it---act like a little boy with his favorite toy switching it off/on (or little girl)
--Turning it off when going through drive-thru
--Turning it ON and feeling/HEARING that baby go through the gears from traffic light....MY, MY, MY

Cons---
--Cabin sound gets overbearing if constant on long trip (thus ABILITY to turn it OFF!!!)
--End up turning the radio UP to get over the cabin sound while Exhaust Cutout is open/On
--Does have droning at different speeds and same with the MDS kicks in
--dB is louder in cabin, so not good longterm or constantly on for hearing (see note below for laugh)

Again, I wish several of the aftermarket exhaust makers or DODGE would make the exhaust system with the ability to turn it off and on like the corvette video as they would through R&D eliminate/greatly reduce the Cons above.

Note--I started laughing at myself when I was typing that line above about the dB; as I once fell asleep as the driver(in drivers seat) of a M113 track vehicle during night live fire at tank range back in the 80's. Abram M1's literally right next to us as I had the Officer in Charge onboard---for those that have not experienced the live fire:

Its has a very raspy snap on cold starts but once its running it calms down and is more of a rumble. It is super loud though.

I really like the Magnaflow 19430...although their customer service wasn't the best when I ran into an issue..

Any issues with getting exhaust tips centered in bumper cutout? There is a simple 5 minute fix using hose clamps on hangers to keep them centered.
