19 Rebel red/black interior

I just got a Rebel which supposedly has the Rebel 12 package. But I thought red seats and the tread pattern were part of the Rebel 12 package. My seats are all black and no tread pattern. What gives? I also thought the Rebel 12 package came with 19 speakers. Mine has 9. What gives? From what I understand is the 19 speakers are hit and miss. I get that. But what about the seats?

Were my windows sticker and build sheet manipulated to make this look like a Rebel 12 and sold as such? Is that even possible? A lot of stuff is missing from my Rebel 12. Not sure what to think really.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Red seats with cloth tread pattern are standard seats on the Rebel; the Rebel 12 package seats are all black leather and include 9 speaker Alpine system--the HK is no longer available.

@brewdad is correct. Rebel 12 comes with non-Rebel seats, Laramie Sport black leather in appearance, but with Rebel badging. 9 speakers have been the common option, not many with the HK setup.

I don't like it when they add some options but remove others to accommodate the change. 12" screen with the red and black interior should have been an option.

Going through the build process again, I noticed in the pictures, if you get the premium leather, you get no tread pattern on the seats and they are all black. Rebel 12 is no longer available and there is now a Rebel 12a package in it's place and is $2495 rather than $2995.

You can build without getting the 9 speaker system and selecting the Rebel 12a package. What does that mean? Is it going to come with a base speakers if the 9 speaker system isn't ordered? With the 12" screen? How does that work? They still advertise the 19 speaker system as part of the Rebel 12 package.

Not trying to start yet another "Rebel 12 package" thread. Just need to get this off my chest. I feel sorta disappointed we pay so much for red plastic on the rear doors, rather than premium leather as advertised. Along with a few other things, like the 19 speaker HK system. I feel like I could have built a lesser expensive Rebel and had all the same features.

It doesn't help that I traded in a mint 2017 Hellcat Challenger for this thing.

I was actually super happy that the premium leather rebel 12 seats did not have the tread pattern. Not sure I would have purchased if it did. Still has a nice "Rebel" embroidered on them.

So not to step on any toes, but does the Rebel12 actually come with a 12” screen standard ?

I am all for the Rebel 12 package but man oh man i would have kept that Hellcat!!!!

Not the first time I've heard that. But unless you've owned one it's hard to explain just how powerful those cars are and how the weight to power ratio is so awkward. I loved that car and ordered it to my specs the day the banks opened up. But I love my life more. Only the first and last years are going to be worth anything down the road and mine was right in the middle. Still mint, but not worth anything really. I needed something more practical to my situation anyway, so it went. Great cars, though, for sure, as long as you're mature enough to keep your foot out of it - I am not and I'm 41.

I had not been on the Ram build site for awhile and did not know that the 12A package was now shown as a option package; after checking the 12A package for $2495, it shows leather seats included but the 12" screen was required for an additional $2095. I tried selecting the 8.4" Navigation screen in place of the 12", but that is not allowed. And if the 9 speaker option was selected, that was an additional $595. Now the dealer build site may be different, but if it isn't then the 12A package is $2495 plus $2095 for the required 12" screen plus another $595 if 9 speaker box is checked.

None of it makes any sense. Even dealers are having trouble with it and are just as confused as we are. You would think the $2495 they charge for the Rebel 12a package would include all those other prices considering the parts are all included in that specific package. Nope!

I'm still confused as to what speaker system you get if you don't select the 9 speaker system. No one has been able to answer that for me and I'm not gonna spend another $60k to find out if you don't select the 9 speakers you get the base speaker system with the Rebel 12a package and the 12" screen. If the HK system is no longer available than what do you get if you don't select the 9 speaker system? I've found no literature explaining what's included in that case. The only literature I've found is this - https://www.ramtrucks.com/2019/ram-1500/hero/rebel-12/rebel-12-overlay.html - and I'm sure most of us have seen this. FCA is STILL advertising the 19 speaker HK system with the Rebel 12 package and crew cab.

I think to clarify things, there are several options here. First:

The original rebel 12 package is no longer available. This included the leather, 12" screen and 19 speaker hi system..

Now, the rebel 12A packages comes in. It is the same as the original rebel 12 package except is has the 9 speaker alpine system. (All else is the same)

Lastly, I believe the offer a standard rebel truck(no leather) with a 12" screen.
This requires group 1 or group 2 and the 9 alpine speakers.

NO LEATHER in this configuration.

So those are the 2 ways you can get the 12 " screen.
Both require alpine speakers.
As of now, no Harmon Kardon rebel 12 config I'd available, nor does it look to be an option ever again.

Seems like the online configurator still shows the 12A as just leather and 12" screen. the Alpine is extra....

The Rebel 12a package actually only has heated seats and heated steering wheel included in the package. It doesn't say anything other than those two items. No leather, no speakers, no nothing other than those two items. So, you get heated front seats and a heated steering wheel for $2500. Seems legit!

I think everything else comes from the level 2 group. Either way, they charge for each and separately. So in the end, you end up paying over $6k for everything. to include the 9 speakers, the leather, the 12" screen, heated seats and steering wheel and a few other items. They don't even include blind spot in there - you have to pay for it and again, separately.

You have to actually choose leather seats now. They aren't included in any package. From what I can tell, basically everything else in which was included in the Rebel 12 package, is now included in the level 2 group.

That's incorrect. As soon as you Add the 12A package, you are prompted that leather seats will be included (along with the given 12" scren):

So 12A includes the following:

12" screen
Leather seats
Heated seats and steering wheel

The only thing that remains up in the air is the Alpine system. People (including my well informed dealer) claim the Alpine is part of the 12A package, yet the online configurator still has the Alpine as a separate, extra $595 option on top of the 12A.

And I say again.. the only difference between the rebel 12 and the rebel 12A is the harmon kardon/alpine speakers..

If you dont have leather then you dont have a rebel 12 package..

You have a rebel with a 12" screen and alpine speakers.
