Hi all,

I am thinking about buying this, but trying to decide how much I really need it.

What are the top 3 features you have used on Alpha OBD?

Thanks!

Turning on factory alarm
Keeping fog lights on with high beams
Adding passive entry and factory bed lights

Factory alarm? Shouldn't that be already on? I'll have to look into that one. It's it under "alarm" if I search?

When you say alarm, what are we talking about? Like lights and sounds if someone breaks a window?

Interesting. What’s the setting to change or check if mine is enabled?

I locked my doors with the windows down, reached in, and opened the door. My truck started honking.

When you activate the alarm, you also have to turn on the security indicator light. (I forget what it's called.) It's been a while since I did mine, but I believe that's right.
I also activated my trailer brake controller, after I bought and installed the kit.

What is the security indicator light? What does it do?

It's a flashing red light in the cluster that lets you know the alarm system is armed. (The alarm system will work without it, but it's nice to have the indicator that it's active.)
