Wire Color Help - Third Brake Light + Courtesy Light

Hey all! I'm trying to mount a light controller behind my rear seats, and I want to tap the third brake light + white courtesy light (top of the cab facing the rear). However, my third brake light is not coming out no matter how I wiggle or pull, and I'm wary of breaking plastic or wires. The light and speaker pods in my headliner are also very tight, and even my nylon pry tool isn't getting the job done...

I can see the wire harness running down the driver's side C pillar, but it's probably 20+ wires in there of all different colors.

If a kind soul has a free moment, would you mind pulling your third brake light out and letting me know which of the two wires I need to tap? One for the brake light itself, and one for the white courtesy light that comes on when you unlock the vehicle.

It is only four screw to undo the 3rd brake light, then carefully wiggle left, right, up and down while pulling straight out on the light assy,
The locating tabs are pretty tight but it will come out.

CHMSL is WH/DG. The other is WHT/TAN on my 2019

Hmm, I'm wondering if we have different models then? Mine only has two visible screws, which lets the whole assembly come out about a quarter of an inch.

Someone on the TRX forums said it's WH/DG and WH/BG (bright green?).

Well my truck is 2019. They did change the light to LED`s on the later model years.

Well I took my puncture tester out there today, and you were right! Dark Green went to the Brake, Tan went to the Courtesy LED.
