I was looking at a new 5th gen Limited and noticed the front door window trim fit was pretty bad where the two sections join. The dealer had two on the lot and both had the same issue. Has anyone else noticed this? Wondering if this is an isolated thing.

I noticed this quite often on earlier builds. After looking at some trucks this past weekend, built in October and November, I noticed that the fit and finish in many areas (including the window trim) was considerably better. Not sure if it's just a coincidence though...

Agree. Mine aren’t that bad. I push too nada LOL

The overall design of the truck, especially the interior is really nice. It just seems crazy that something so mundane as window trim got overlooked. I couldn't figure out why it was multiple pieces anyway. I've seen plenty of vehicles where the entire trim is one piece.

Doesn’t look bad in the pic, but it’s so obvious in person.

Still. It’s on my list for warranty work on the dec 27!

I doubt they will fix this, it's the same way on every truck. It seems like this is literally the way they designed the window trim for some odd reason...

I had mine replaced three times before they got it right. They got smart and had a body shop do the last time and its perfect now.
