Very odd. I've had windows tinted on every vehicle I own and never an issue. The other day I had my sides and rears windows tinted by a reputable tinter. As soon as I started driving home (hwy speed) i heard a draft coming from the drivers side window just behind my ear. I figured the tint film was just wet so no big deal. After 3 days, I rolled the window down and back up, draft still there. Now, I guess it was possible I just never noticed it but boy, it stuck right out as I left the tint shop so I highly doubt it. I can't tell if it's coming from the door seal or window seal. When I was at the dealer getting an alignment, I asked if they would adjust the door in a bit, they did and the noise is still there.

The tint shop says there is nothing they do that would damage or interfere with a seal. Can you think of anything that maybe the tint place would have done?? I can't. I know someone mentioned locating a leak by using some type of tape? Maybe I will try that around the entire door fame to rule out the door seal first. Just a little confused.

I taped the entire door gaps this morning and the noise was still there. I will have tape the window area next to see if maybe that's where it is. I know 99.99% the noise wasn't there, pre-tint.

This may sound weird but have you checked to make sure the rear sliding window is fully closed ? I remember in my 2016 I was getting a noise like that and it sounded like it was coming from the rear door but it turned out to be the rear slider .

I would bet they removed part of the window seal to fit the tint to the glass and didn't re-install it properly. Compare the fit on the passenger front to the driver's door and make sure the seals are pushed up correctly. The seal that goes all along the top of the doors sits in a specific slot and may "look" okay but will pull out easily if not installed properly. Stop in at a body shop if the idiots at the dealership can't figure it out.

Shouldn’t have. 0 need to touch any seal up there. I’ve seen guys remove the seal at the bottom of the window to get the bottom edge of the tint installed below that seal, but nothing up top should be a factor. The added thickness of the film could be causing a tolerance issue where the seal isn’t working as well as it did before.

I know exactly what happened because it happened to me, they probably cut off your inner door belt (felt seal that touches together on both inside and outside of window when you roll it down) it’s the lazy way of tinting windows. It made a huge difference on mine so I’m having him replace them. First picture is of a brand new ram I went to go inspect second picture is of my truck after he did it.6D2B3E55-824A-4FCF-BDB0-6001179C9E56.jpegF0F7B56A-265F-4B56-8FD0-F09568526065.jpeg5A637BF6-5FA2-4CA5-8624-BC591866D503.jpegAD2E2414-2BEA-4A47-8703-41B2751D7C03.jpeg
