So not quite sure how to explain this. But I used to have a 2019 with an 8.4 screen. If I was listening to the radio and navigation from CarPlay or Siri or anything happened Uconnect would switch to CarPlay play whatever was coming through and then switch back for the radio, FM or whatever I was listening to.

Now I have a 19 with a 12.1 inch display and there is no switching back. If I’m listening to the radio and ask Siri something Uconnect will switch to CarPlay, interact or play whatever appropriately but then not switch back to the radio. The radio “button” I have on the home row switches to ‘Media USB’ instead of ‘FM’.

Anybody else have this problem or know of a solution?

Does it switch back to radio using the icon with the radio tower?

What is current software revision on your radio?

I have a Pixel phone, and don't use voice recognition for very much, but have never had an issue. It will automatically switch to USB input when I plug in the phone, but if zi switch back to SiriusXM or radio it will stay there

Attached is the version I’m on. Also posted are the home row icons.

i think what he is asking, is if he is listening to the radio and then calls on siri to say call home, when done the system will stay on carplay vs going back to the radio. on my ford, it will return to what source i was using prior to calling on siri. I dont have my truck yet, so cant comment on proper function.

You have a very outdated application version. It's showing 34.31, most current version is 39.9

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. My old 19 Laramie with an 8.4 screen reverted back to the original source, as it should. My new truck does not. It will stay on CarPlay with dead air. I have to manually put it back on the radio. Or whatever other source I was listening to.

How update the version? I thought they were supposed to be over the air?

My UC5 sometimes doesn't go back to playing music after answering a call and I don't even use Android Auto (just Bluetooth).
I need to disable the audio from the BT connection and re-enable it (or disconnect BT and let it re-connect).

But yours does go back to the last input sometimes?

I updated to the Las test software 39.9 I believe. It does not to appear to have fixed my issue.

Does anyone else have this issue? Maybe I’m misremembering how my old truck worked. Maybe it’s always been this way.
