Good afternoon everybody.
To make a long story short. The cellular bits in my phone died. So I decided to activate my three-month trial, so I have a phone while I'm driving.
Why did Chrysler go from, (in my 2015 Jeep Cherokee) Tapping a button, putting in a four-digit code and having wifi that works without issue for the time that was purchased. DOWN to. Turning on wifi hotspot, connecting the phone to it, having a login screen, log in to AT&T. Then 6 hours later hooking to it again, having to log into an account again, having it confirm that you are who you say you are, not having wifi or cellular to get the email or text code to verify your logging in and not being able to use your service because your phone can't log into your new "my vehicle.AT&T" garbage they added to a simple button push and pin for wifi.
If I activate it and somebody else logs into my in vehicle wifi do they have to have an AT&T account?
Seriously disappointing and frustrating that this Guardian remote stuff is not working on top of the most difficult in-vehicle wifi hotspot issue. It should be able to be done on the radio, you know like I could do three years ago.
This may be a rant, but I think using your wifi hotspot in these rams is downright backward and ridiculous.
Other than that, and the abysmal fuel mileage (I expected) I love the truck.
I hope all is well!
