November 24th was my 2 year anniversary of picking up my Ram at the dealership. Who has the "oldest" Ram? Date out the dealerships door is what I was looking for, also interested in what made you buy an unproven new model year.

So who is the longest owner of the 5th Generation ram?

I picked mine up August 31, 2018. 28,000 miles no real issues other then a few recalls of coarse.

My daughter picked her 2019 Rebel up at the end of August 2018. She's not a member here so I guess that doesn't count LOL

Oldest owned, or oldest build date?

I picked up my Rebel in July 2019, but she was build in Jan 2019. Zero issues so far.

I've purchased the first year of a completely new design several times, last being the all new 2015 F150. Considering that truck had many first evers, aluminum body, 2.7L Ecoboost, start/stop, etc. and had zero issues, I figured the all-new RAM should be fine.

So far, it's been perfect.

Date out the dealership's door and you in the driver's seat.

Build April 2018. Off the lot August 18th, 2018
A Sweet truck. Bought it due to superior ride quality over the F150.

Mine is a Mach 2018 build, bought in early June 2018 ;)
I have ~16k miles on it so far.

Pretty sure I've got the oldest V6 build here. Out the door on 11/2/18 (though it had been sitting at the dealership for a week or two due to me traveling), I ordered it within the first week the V6 became available to order.

I started this thread as I am curious as to what was the earliest date someone would have been able to take possession of the 5th Generation Ram (aka new style, Ram 1500 DT).

I picked mine up the first week of September 2018. I have about 38k miles so far completely trouble free. Great truck.

You’ve got me by a few days! (Early September here.)

The “winner” is going to be someone who bought off the lot in the spring of 2018.

Mine was built 3 June 2018 and dealer delivered 26 July 2018.

2019 Ram 1500 Billet Silver Laramie Quad Cab 2WD, 5.7 Hemi, 8HP75, 3.21 axle, 33 gallon fuel tank, factory dual exhaust, 18” wheels. Build date: 03 June 2018. Now at: 044169 miles.

Built date 3-18 30k miles no problems except for car play. Will buy a new ram with more options on the next one

Sounds like most of you guys with "old" trucks haven't had many issues. That's good.

Mine is probably one of the earlier Gen 3 EcoDiesels. Built 11-18-19.
