SO the best way I can describe the noise is when I let off the gas and the engine brake engages, I get at the same time a sucking and whistling noise. I have no loss of power no codes come up.

Some info about your truck would help, trim, year, engine, etc.

Buys 3500, posts in 1500 forums, doesn't know turbo's whistle, names themself "info".

Sorry fellas didn't realize it was for a 1500 5th gen. And Montana I know what that turbos whistle it's not the same sound I'm asking about. I've been around diesels long enough to know enough about them.
