Where to sell a very lightly used set of tires? (Falken AT3Ws, LT275/65r20, 1,200 miles)

Edited to update (original post is below the ***'s):

Based on a suggestion by @Whoa_Ram , I contacted Discount Tire Direct about a credit for the original tires. I spoke with the original salesman, George. Even though I'm beyond the 30 day return window (by 3 weeks or more), and despite putting over a thousand miles on the tires, he gave me a FULL REFUND, and is expediting the shipment of the new set. I'm going to give him a shout-out: George Driver, 1-800-385-3322, extension 50379.

I cannot emphasize what a great guy he was to deal with, on the original purchase of the tire/wheel set and this replacement. Outstanding, start to finish.

The new tires will be a lighter set, Falken AT3W, 265/60 R20, 115T. More of a highway tire. (The 275/65s had a light rubbing I could not eliminate, when braking downhill and turning left. Obviously, front left tire on mudflap, but despite heatgun action and orbital sanding, I could not get rid of it.)

The 65s weigh 66.1 lbs each, the 60s weigh 47.8 lbs. Taking 18.3 lbs off each corner should result in handling and drivability improvements.

******* Original Post, below ******

Okay, I bought some Falken Wildpeak AT3W, LT275/65r20, in mid-November. 10-ply, ATs. Great tires, but too much off-road for my uses. I'm going to swap to a lighter tire, more in line with my real-life use (99% highway, only occasional (once a month???) gravel road and dirt/mud trail).

I've put just under 1,200 miles on them.

Where do I list them? (Is there even a market for them?)

Thanks,
Ken

Try Facebook Market Place …. I sold stuff from my 2012, as well as a bunch of house stuff …. Seems better than Craig’s List

If you figure out any other good selling places besides FB Marketplace, let me know. I have a set of Toyo Open Country AT3 285/50/22’s with 3k miles that I’ll probably swap out for lighter tires. I hate the lowballers on Craigslist, so I won’t sell on there anymore.

My stock Dueler H/L’s will have about 3k on them this Spring …. I’ll try FBMP first, then I’ll just take them to one of the many used tire places around me, and see if I can get $100 a pc for them

I'm in North Carolina, near Winston-Salem.

I'd be fine meeting halfway somewhere if it works.

My 24 year old son mentioned FBMP. I've got a good relationship with our local tire guy, but I'd have to admit to buying these from DiscountTire were I to bring them to him to sell. ;)

Could always try going to discount tire and see how much they give you if you buy some new ones. I bought some Nitto G2’s once, drove them about 10k went back to buy some new non LT tires and they gave me almost what I paid for. I was shocked. Asked if they were serious and they said yeah we like to make customers happy and give them a good product.

Did you purchase the old set from discount tire? I got mine from discount tire direct, so I wonder if I can do a trade-in also.

I did purchase them from DT direct, so I'll look into that (unless I hear from someone here first). Then, based on what they say, I'll go FBMP.

I ordered them in mid- to late-October. They arrived on November 5th. Just a bit over 1,000 (and less than 1,200) mostly highway miles since...

I'll call Discount Tire on Monday. No way would I want to add to someone's work on Christmas weekend...

Yeah I purchased them from discount tire. But they told me they usually would buy back as long as they knew the brand and the thread was good.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame is worth the drive …. The tires aren’t …. Lol

You’re not wrong on that one lol, I was actually up there with my truck over thanksgiving, I’ve got some family in the East Cleveland area, might be going up again in March if you still have those tires.

Well, I'm out of town, but I called Discount Tire. It sounds like they'll do me a great deal: the new tires will be less than the ones I bought, so it'll just be an exchange, with me paying shipping.

I'll lock it all down in a few more days when I'm back home.

If that's how it works, I think they've just found a new long-term customer.

Is everyone talking about discount tire direct or discount tire? I googled they seem to look the same but says they a different. I’m assuming direct?

Good point... I assumed they were the same parent company, but I'm talking about Discount Tire Direct.
