Edited to update (original post is below the ***'s):
Based on a suggestion by @Whoa_Ram , I contacted Discount Tire Direct about a credit for the original tires. I spoke with the original salesman, George. Even though I'm beyond the 30 day return window (by 3 weeks or more), and despite putting over a thousand miles on the tires, he gave me a FULL REFUND, and is expediting the shipment of the new set. I'm going to give him a shout-out: George Driver, 1-800-385-3322, extension 50379.
I cannot emphasize what a great guy he was to deal with, on the original purchase of the tire/wheel set and this replacement. Outstanding, start to finish.
The new tires will be a lighter set, Falken AT3W, 265/60 R20, 115T. More of a highway tire. (The 275/65s had a light rubbing I could not eliminate, when braking downhill and turning left. Obviously, front left tire on mudflap, but despite heatgun action and orbital sanding, I could not get rid of it.)
The 65s weigh 66.1 lbs each, the 60s weigh 47.8 lbs. Taking 18.3 lbs off each corner should result in handling and drivability improvements.

Okay, I bought some Falken Wildpeak AT3W, LT275/65r20, in mid-November. 10-ply, ATs. Great tires, but too much off-road for my uses. I'm going to swap to a lighter tire, more in line with my real-life use (99% highway, only occasional (once a month???) gravel road and dirt/mud trail).
I've put just under 1,200 miles on them.
Where do I list them? (Is there even a market for them?)
Thanks,
Ken
