wheel swap question

if i buy a set of take offs from another gen5 ram 1500 (rebel wheels or night edition for example) and install them.
do i need to program the TPMS that come with the take offs to my truck, or are they picked up automatically by the truck when i install the wheels?

They should pick up the new sensors automatically.

I would expect it to take a while, just like it takes forever to recover from disconnecting the battery.

Can't speak for ram, specifically, but the last two fords I had synced automatically with aftermarket wheels and tpms. 18 mustang and 19 ranger. I suspect they should, and rather quickly.

They will sync up automatically. You may need to drive for a few miles or around the block but no programming needed

As others mentioned, they will sync automatically. When I got new wheels and tires, by the time I came home from the tire shop about three miles away, they had already synced.
