Wheel housing

Hello!

Has anyone found a solution regarding the incomplete wheel housing?
In the original ones, there is a hole in the front wheel housing where mud and debris can go straight into the engine compartment.

I forget where I saw it but there was someone that made their own extention pieces they fastened to the bottom to bring it down some more.
