What rear lift to use after RC 2” front level install

So installed RC’s 2” loaded strut leveling kit. Bumped the front end up a good bit…higher than expected tbh. Was going to use motofab 1.5 kit for the rear but just wanted opinions. Heard changing the coil spring is also a possibility. Looking for a perfect level. Thanks!

Essentially that’s what I have. 2” up front and 1” in the rear with the off road springs. Icon makes 1.5” rear springs for these trucks as well.

Yeah i was alittle surprised. Didn’t expect such a lift. Maybe if I did 3.5 lol but it’s just 2”

I have those struts. I am assuming you have done the alignment. mine was 1 inch higher than the back before the alignment. after the alignment I was dead even. Then after settling in for about 1k miles went back for a followup alignment(1 year alignment warranty) and am now 1/2 inch lower in the front and has been that way since.

make sure to take into account a good alignment and a bit of settling with the new springs.

I’m glad you replied cause I have not aligned it yet and there is exactly a 1” difference between the front and back…It is getting an alignment Wednesday tho (soonest I could get it in for one). So I am happy and relieved it lowers it a bit. Was about to pull the trigger on a set of rear springs but I will hold off.

Yeah, I bought a set of 1 in spacers for the back that I ended up returning. The camber gets really out of wack until you do the alignment riding on the outside edge of the tire. I am running about 1/2 inch of rake now that everything is settled in.

Yeah, good call to do the alignment first. Judging from your original pic it looks like you’ll still want something in the rear but it’s good practice to do it in order. Good luck!

Also did you measure the original factory rake by chance before throwing on the lift? My dumbass forgot and now I’m curious how many inches it really lifted it

yeah it was 2-3/4 on one side and 2-1/2 on the other if i recall correctly.

so this is post alignment. For some reason the passenger side is about .3-.4” higher than the drivers side and still have over an inch lower in the rear. Guess I’ll see if they settle and if not I’ll grab 1” coils for the rear. What kills is me is my neighbor has the same exact truck and put a 2” bilstein lift on his and his truck is level all around with no change to the rear

That should not be. Did they accidentally send you the 3.5 inch loaded strut?
What sku number did you get?

I think the RC loaded struts are 3.5” lift. The RC 2” leveling kit is spacer blocks.

There are struts for multiple lift hights. 2, 3.5, and 6. These are the two I'm talking about.
3.5 inch : Loaded Strut Pair | 3.5 Inch | Ram 1500 2WD/4WD (2019-2022)
2 inch : 2 Inch Leveling Kit | Loaded Strut | Ram 1500 2WD/4WD (2019-2022)

Yeah I got the 2” leveling kit/loaded strut. Least that’s what the box and instruction say I received. Also here is the alignment…it pulls to the right for some reason now post alignment … honestly thinking about just buying a set of bilstein 6112’s and restarting lol cause my buddie has the same exact truck as a me and put bilsteins on his and his is perfectly level and perfectly aligned with nothing done with the rear

If you do decide to lift the rear with springs there are several options. Factory ORP springs for 1", Eibach for 1", Bilstein which says 1" but I got 1.5", Icon for 1.5". The cheapest, is the spacer for the lift. I used Bilstein 5100s with ORP spring set on 4 and a 1/2" spacer for 3" up front and bilstein springs in the rear for 1.5" and i sit with .75" rake.

Sorry to hear. My experience has been pretty good. I don't know what happened here, but I would probably do the same thing. Good luck with the Bilsteins if you go that way.
