What really is the anti slip differential?

Just wondering what type of LSD the 1500 "anti-slip" differential is. I know the HD trucks use a helical gear diff, (trutrac, torsen), as I've actually seen one removed and disassembled. But I've seen some people mention the 1500's are clutch type, but it's always just a quick mention with little to no information or evidence. There seems to be no information ANYWHERE online other than the fact that its an "anti-slip" and that is an LSD.

I find it odd that ram would label two different types of differentials under the same name, obviously the HD diff compared to a half ton diff will be beefier and capable of higher torque values, but shouldn't an identically named component, operate and function the same way?

Im just curious as I've purchased a new truck with the LSD and would like to know what I've got and how to treat it, as clutch LSD's are a wearable component and behave a little differently.
