I'm not a factory nav guy but I generally run a seperate gps unit on long trips even when I know the route. Its been a while since I've shopped them so can you guys recommend a good gps unit? I'd like something that bluetooth syncs to uconnect if thats a thing? I could run my phone but I drive to some out off the way places with no service and I've found the dedicated units to be better. I wouldnt be against a combo dashcam and gps as well.

Thanks

I only use the phone since it works great and is costs $0 additional, but I will point out that certain apps, like Google Maps on Android, allow you to download area maps for offline use. That would solve your problem.

Not a bad idea. I'll keep that in mind.

I use a Garmin thats about 10 years old. It works for me because I have free lifetime updates.
