What awg is the power cable to the factory Alpine amp (2019+)

Replacing factory amp with aftermarket that recommends an 8 awg power cable and 40 amp fuse. Any idea what awg the factory power cable is to the Alpine amp and if I can use that (with a new inline fuse)?

It's less than 8 gauge, you're better off running a new power wire

Definitely want to run your own power and ground for aftermarket amp. Ground should just go to body close to the amo.

I’m fairly certain it’s 12gauge. You should run your own dedicated one. It’s extremely easy to do. I did mine in less than 20 minutes by going through the grommet that the emergency release cable goes through, and going down the driver’s side wire channel under the carpet. I did 4ga, so 8ga will be even easier.
