*** For those with EcoDiesel engines ***

Ok I used to do all my own oil changes but Father Time has caught up with me.

So I take my iPad and wait in the customer lounge and let some young buck much more spry than me do all of the work.

I’ve been using Huffines Chrysler Dodge Ram in Lewisville, TX (DFW area) since we bought our first minivan to haul around the kids back in 1996.

They have always done good work and I haven’t had any complaints over the years.

Yesterday I had the oil changed on my little Pavement Princess Oil Burner and when it was time to checkout the cost for oil and filter $179.95 and labor $50.00 = $229.95

Looking on the web if I was to have done it myself, Mopar oil filter $60.77 and 8.5 quarts of Pennzoil 5W-40 oil $65.09 = $125.86

So there is an additional $54.09 in cost that is added on top of the parts and labor not including the profit made on the dealer buying his oil in bulk and the oil filter at wholesale.

I don’t mind the dealer making a profit but I don’t expect him to make the entire month off of just little ole me.

What’s the going rate for an EcoDiesel oil change in your neck of the woods?

Northwest of Orlando, I get my oil changes done for $39.95 at the dealer. They gave me that price one time and ever since, when I go back, they pull up my account and say that I pay $39.95. I don't think I've paid more than that in the 40k miles I drove my truck so far.

Another local dealership quotes me $99.

I'm in central NH.
Dealer where I purchased the truck does my oil change & tire rotation for $125.00...
At the dealership I start the truck & look under the truck before I leave.
Father time has caught up with me as well, I'm 71...
I hate paying people to do stuff that I can do but there comes a time (now) when I realize in the grand scheme of things it's better to let "them" do it...

Going to schedule the first time-out-of-pocket oil change, and noticed it costs $390.

My local dealer charges $202.50 for the oil and filter, plus an additional $35.00 in shop fees. Another $25 will get you a tire rotation.

I'm 74 and still doing my changes. I have a Fumoto valve installed, so oil drains are painless. I slide under on a piece of cardboard.

$339 at dealership here is eastern NC. Includes tire rotation and all fees/taxes

My humble apologies to all!
Just now noticed this party’s for the EcoDiesel crew… and here I am with my gas guzzler.
I’ll show myself out before someone asks me to go the auto parts store to get a bucket of steam!

My dealership charges $218 for ED oil changes, but have a $300 package deal for two oil changes.

Haven't paid for one yet at the dealer. Have been doing all my own since I got my 2015 172k miles ago and now on 2022 88k miles.

$44'ish for 10 qts of Quaker State Euro @ Walmart
$49 for MOpar Filter Dieslfiltersonline
An hour of my time.

I'm in a similar boat, too old to bend much so I use the selling dealer. They always give me a package deal for my ED. Somewhere aroung $300 for 3 oil changes and tire rotations. They say it's a MOPAR package and good at any Ram dealer nationwide.
