Didn't realize I had a problem until I vacuumed out my truck and placed my hand on the floorboard for support a couple of weeks ago. I have seen several post concerning problems with drivers side floorboard being wet with causes from sealant missing to top drain tube incorrectly installed for panoramic roof. My Ram was manufactured in 11-18. The floor mat fasteners have already started to rust which causes me great concern about the rest of the floorboard. When I called the local dealer, they have never heard of this issue. Just said to bring it in and they would look at it. Is there anything other than printing the posts to give them and give them a starting place so I can quickly get my truck back? I'm thinking the carpet and floor mats should be replaced.

Do yourself a favor and try to read up on all the leaking threads on this forum. There are a number of places on the truck that can leak. The fact that your dealer said they had never heard of it concerns me. You should be as well informed as possible so they get to the root cause (s) of your leak(s). Because your truck has gone so long without you detecting the problem, you are definitely right about complete carpet replacement.

Thank you Duke2001!

If you're in central Florida, you haven't filled out location, Seek & Seal goes to all the dealers and they find and fix water and wind leaks. They handle the repairs under warranty. They know where to look, know how to repair and they do it in one trip.

Did find another post that explained in detail a problem with the roof drain tube grommet on the back of the cab between bed. Sure enough the grommet was not installed correctly.
Water leak and wet carpet (solved)

Once you get the grommets installed properly and the carpet replaced or cleaned and dried out, then I recommend you closely monitor front and rear carpet areas anytime after a hard rain or even car wash. The grommets are one source, there are others reported on this forum.
