Hello! New guy here (been a lurker for a while).

I just installed a Westin Sportsman X Grille guard on my 2021 Ram Laramie. Install was fairly easy and I had to relocate the front facing parking sensors onto the grille guard. Now I am getting sporadic and highly annoying "false alarms" when sitting at stoplights or stop signs. It is only happening with the sensors I relocated. Any ideas as to how these things work and what could be causing the false alerts? Thanks in advance.

Pictures would be useful...
Ah, copy. I will get some posted shortly. Thanks!

Edit: Does the orientation of the sensor matter? As in, does it need to be in the same orientation on the grille guard as it was in the bumper? Im reading online that depending on what kind of sensor it is, the orientation may matter...

I just placed the below step on the truck this week and failed to take into consideration the Park Sense. Backed out of the garage and slammed into something at slow speed. Nope. Parksense stopped me cold. I considered sending this step back but with some physical issues it will make getting into the truck easier with the tailgate closed. So I turned off the Parksense sensor meaning I've lost that feature. I still also have the sensor sounding when I back up as this step is large enough to be in the way but I can live with this as it is not like I do a lot of backing and my camera is a big help there. I could see how sensor orientation might matter, if they can be installed in more than one way.

Are the sensors at the same height as OEM? Are they the same distance in relationship to each other as OEM? That could have some impact...

So i just talked to the grille guard company and they said orientation 100% matters and is probably the cause. Very finnicky. Unfortunately, i didnt pay attention to how the sensors mounted behind the bumper. Does anyone have a picture of their sensors mounted to the bumper? I cant seem to find one online.

EDIT: Found some good info on the ParkSense system. FCA ParkSense
