So I ordered this. Seems pretty nice, the one thing I don’t like is the little Tab that holds the two locking pins in place (that hold the ball mount piece) is pretty small. I guess there’s not too much stress on it, but seems like it wouldn’t have hurt to make it a little beefier.

I should probably get some better pictures, but this is all I took last night. Going to get a uhaul trailer in 2 weeks so we will see how it is.

I’m planning to lift this truck in the 8” range, so I went with the 8” drop. Probably should have gone 10 but was worried it would be too long on the stock setup. I’d say if you are staying totally stock with a rebel, at least 6” drop for sure. I don’t think the 4 would be enough for some trailers.

More pics of the hitch.

one on the driveway slope (this driveway is pretty bad, a stock 4wd truck will drag the valance head on). I ended up pulling up and angling off more, it got pretty close to dragging. It for sure would drag head on. So that’s something to consider for anyone else if you go 8” drop on a stock rebel.

and the locking mechanism I was talking about locked and unlocked.

I almost bought that one but went with a 6" drop that had the Anti-Rattle pressure pin. Have you heard it rattle at all going over bumps? 6 inch drop.png

Interesting, didn’t know that was an option lol.

I haven’t used it but it for SURE rattles. I noticed that just messing around with it. I’m used to it so it’s not going to bother me, but I can see the appeal of the non rattling one. I would have probably gone that way had I known.

Well, it won't rattle when you are towing. :) I just don't like to remove it from the truck, shopping cart deterrent, don't want to be without it when unexpectedly need it, don't want to store it under the back seat,.... yeah I am that kind of lazy.

guess that’s true lol.

I never leave it in. Don’t want the attention. Don’t want to kick it. I rarely tow these days. I don’t even own a trailer at the moment.
