I searched the forum and saw discussion about water spots on the paint, but not the plastic. Are there any tips (products to use; products to NEVER use) to get the water blemishes off the plastic trim pieces (like my Rebel grill)? I'd rather go with something that's tried and true than experimenting to find what's safe to use.....

Old school, elbow grease involved.
Amazon.com

I used elbow grease, no love. I'd rather not rub so hard as to begin marking the plastic. This is after CRAZY salt on the roads from a recent storm, so might be more involved than just water.

The chamois works on my rebel after washing the truck. Maybe someone else can chime in.

I was using a microfiber towel (not a chamois) so maybe that makes a difference…. No idea but I can try it. Thanks man.

It is not cheap, so use it sparingly, but it works on water spots on body trim for me and does not "glow" (shine) when dry like AmorAll or other plastic restorative products. I understand it is designed not to dry out the plastic, so it should not end up causing cracking of the plastic like ArmorAll may cause over time in direct sunlight.

I’ve never used it on those surfaces, but a clay bar works miracles on removing water spots on paint and glass. Might be worth a shot to try just a small piece. That surface may be too rough though. I treat tires and plastic trim with this, and it works great.

I guess the main idea is to remove the hose-water droplets that have mineral deposits in them, before they have a chance to dry.
Heck even a leaf-blower could do that.

The things people OCD about. A half hour after you get rid of the spots some other spots will kick your ***.

I hear you lol. This is my first wash. There was a big snow storm and the truck was covered with salt slush, and then pulled into my garage. It was actively snowing, so I didn't rinse it off. I know its not a big deal, but I'm trying to keep it super nice in case I decide to offload it in favor of a new 2025 1/2 or 2026 Rebel with a 6.4 and no MDS or auto stop/start! :)

Here's to hoping that RAM can churn out some trucks quickly with the V8s and no emissions BS, now that all that is getting rolled back.

i was like that... for the first 0.5 months.
then, i took mine offroad for test runs for the Alaska trip after yanking the suspension and installing electricals (lights, switches, secondary and third batteries) at ~500miles on the clock and got pinstripes i stopped caring.
i'll just send it to my friend for full detailing when I'm ready to put it up for sale lol
